Starting last week, I received a series of phone calls at my home and office. These calls claim that this is a 'time sensitive matter' and 'me or my attorney of record need to return the call ASAP'. The caller has an extremely thick accent and is very hard to understand.

The first caller left 2 phone numbers to return his call. When I tried to return the call, I receive a busy signal. The numbers are 818-338-4071 and 818-338-5053.

The same night, I received 2 more messages at my office. The caller is Andy Jones and he asked me to return the call to 415-200-0250. This number is also busy. Andy called me at work the following day and I was able to speak with an attorney named Ralph Murphy. He also had an extremley thick accent (and quite honestly sounded identical to Andy). He said there was a lawsuit in California from Federal Legislation of Unsercured Loans, who operate approx 300 online cash advance websites, but he could not clarify the original company. The lawsuit is for the amount of $852.32, which includes the principal loan, interest, and legal fees. He said I was being sued for fraud, breach of contract, and several other serious offenses.

He also could not guarentee that the line would be free when I had my attorney return the call, so he said 'have your attorney keep trying. We are busy'. When I asked why a 'reputable company' didn't have voicemail or an receptionist, he said 'that's not your concern'

When I got home from work yesterday, I had 4 identical mesages on my answering machine (and 1 identical to the rest at my office this morning)! I couldn't understand the callers name, but he left the #213-805-0298. I returned the call and spoke with Eric Matthews. Eric said there was a lawsuit against me and I provided him with my attorney's information. He said that this "federal payday loan" would not be eligible to be included in chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy and it needed to be dealt with. I told him that he was harrasing me leaving 4 messages in one day and I would definitley be letting my attorney know. He then hung up on me.

I knew this sounded fishy, but was unsure due to my recent credit troubles. I'm glad I came across another report on this site. Don't give this guy any information! Tell him you will have you attorney call and they are harrasing you! Even if you don't have an attorney, contact someone who can help rid you of these scam artists! I will definitley file with the FTC or appropriate party to get this harrasment stopped for myself and others!!!!!

Financial Accountability Assoicate Law Firm

AUTHOR: Lou - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 04, 2009

I also had a problem with that company Financial Accountability Associate Law Firm. I called the District Attorney's Office in New York where I live and they told me I would have to get in touch with the DA's office in California. I received a letter from the County of Los Angelse Department of Consumer Affairs saying that due to funding constraints and the fact that I did not live in Los Angeles they could not help me. they told me to contact my local Small Claims office. I also contacted the Federal Trade Commission and gave them the information.

I am making a folder of everything the callers names, the people and agencies i have contacted on this matter.

I was also told that when they call you if you tell them the call is being recorded they will stop bothering you, or that you have reported them that can help.

I know that it is a very disgusting annoying situation and there should be something that can be done about this.

Update

AUTHOR: Jessica m - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 25, 2009

I spoke with Daniel Hunter at Financial Account Associates #213-805-0294. He told me he was going to send my husband a termination notice, he said my references were in BIG trouble, and then he started sexually harrassing me! The conversation ended with..."hold on, I'm c*mm***"

DISGUSTING!!!!!!!

I received a call today for my husband with one of the same numbers above (213-805-0294). He said "if you chose to ignore this call, good luck"
