Financial Benefits company out of Champlain, Ny promissed my son a secured credit card after they sucked $299 out of his checking acct. They took the money the first of Oct. 2003 and his has never seen his secured credit card. Instead they sent him a "financial benefits" pkg of a bunch os worthless stuff including a credit repair kit.

We cancelled the membership within the 15 days and then called them about the refund. They were extremely nasty about the cancellation. Now they are saying they are going to give us a refund about Dec.11 or 12th. They are also saying they are keeping a $30 processing fee which was not mentioned in their refund policy. The refund if it comes will be over a week later then stated. We have been extremely careful and have documented everything. If you have this problem contact Mark Fleischer of the NY State attorneys office to file a complaint. His number is 1-518-474-7124. I am in the process of filing a complain with his office. I still have my fingers crossed that the refund comes through.
