Financial Service Bureau LLC Ripped off our small business Moorpark California

Our company is always being contacted by collection companies.  At least onece a week someone wants to take on our unpaid accounts.  We have tried the legal route and hired attornies, but quite honestly they do absolutely nothing for large sums of money.  We decided to try this company because they are supposedly in Califonia and they talked a good game.   We have one loser account in California and turned it over to this company.  They called with in a week which is the usual sequence of events for a collection company and they told our other partner all the things that really made him angry.

 Then they said that they needed 1512.00 to file all the paperwork etc.  They sent  a very "official" looking contract andt hey actually had Fed Ex pick the check up and they paid for the shipping. (Which we thought was not quite right)   Approximately two weeks later we ereceived a  call and they said that everything was going well but they needed another 4200 dollars to finish the case up.   Again they would send Fed Ex to pick u p the check, but this time we decided not to do it without more informatin from the company.  We asked them for references, liscenses, lawyers names that they work with etc.  They never provided the information and now they do not answer their phones either.  We have sent e mails etc and it now looks like we are out 1512.00.  Thank God it wasn't more.    We are currently reporting them to the Attorney General in California.  Hope to save someone else from the same...
