My name is Randy K Moe of Littleton Colorado. My sister brought to my attention that when searching under the name Randy Moe this rip off report came up. I want to clear my name. It is disturbing to me that with a name a uncommon as Randy Moe that I might be confused with this other Randy the rip off. I run a legitimate business that is internet based and would not want to be damaged unjustly by Rip Off Reports that include my name. The only solution I have is to be post at the top of your reports commenting on Alliance Aquisitions Associates.
Thank you.
Randy K. Moe (not a rip off)

In response we have organized, we have a Secrect Service agent who has been chasing Randy Hicks for well over a year. The indictment is coming very soon. He has even went to the AAA office. There are about 1,000 victims we have on our list and the SS and many more. I am in contact will the SS agent and RH will be indicted on criminal charges at a federal level. It seemd our money though is gone.
We send out group e-mails to keep everyone updated.

I read that contract in detail and I was ripped off too. I am ashamed to admit, I worked as a para legal for a few years.
I did not meet a qualified buyer and I too cant get my valuation fee back. I have received nothing but form letters and nobody returns a phone call, fax, or email.
Want to focus on the intital conversation started here. Lets organize for fairness and let the authorities figure out if this is a scam or not.
I repose the question........how can we organize to move forward and share constructive information? Complaining does nothing productive.
I think we should all chose a course of action and each of us should follow up in a short period of time to the same entities. I dont thnk the DA of Cobb County would like 2000 complaints by phone or letter within a few weeks time.
strength is in numbers. lets get a plan here!

If I wanted to have a man rule my life and tell me what to say or what not to say, I would have stayed married to my first husband and allowed him to continue using me as a punching bag for his own inadequacies. I have been in business for 30 years and I grew up on a farm and learned business at the school of hard knocks. But my parents taught me how to read and how to think for myself and I learned how to make decisions. My business did not grow itself, I grew it with sweat and long hours. When I decided to sell it, I was "shopped" by lots of companies, but selected Alliance. I read my Agreement, kept the analyst there for 3 hours, read the evaluation and called them with a bunch of questions. Bottom line, I had my eyes wide open and knew what I was doing.
Alliance is not the best company in the world for communications, but they never refused to give me an "status" update when I called or to answer my questions and they introduced me to the final buyer. Those are facts that are not going to change, no matter how much you rant and rave.
I was going to let this go after expressing my opinion, but, over the holiday, I reflected on how great this country was that I could own and sell a business and EXPRESS MY OPINION (thanks ripoff-report)! First thing I did this morning was call Alliance and ask them to use me as a reference. To their credit, they refused because of "confidentiality". I'll talk them out of it.
PS No relation to anyone at Alliance.

Fred - You must think that everybody that does not agree with you or "Anonymous" has nothing to say on the subject. Yes, I did have to call Alliance more than once for an update, but the the third match was the winner. Most importantly, and the reason I posted here is I got a call from some guy who told me all about this site. He really went off on me when I disagreed with him, so I decided to have my say and this site seems to let us do that. The real shame is that you want to waste the time of other business owners "organizing" instead of letting Alliance do their job. Think about it. If you renew with them, their entire staff works for you and it does not cost you one additional nickle, except for the fee that you pay when the business sells. I have started another business and Alliance will get the listing when an if I decide to sell it. BTW, as I said in my posting my lawyer looked at the contract. Plain english is very easy to understand and needs no interpretation!

ABIGAIL IN BED WITH AA

I wonder how and why you accessed the RIP-OFF site if you are such a satisfied customer??? It would seem that one that is happy with a company would not take the time to look up that company on this site. Shame on you!
Both you and whom ever put you up to posting your rebuttal, don't have an inkling on how to interpit contract language.
Its the gravity of the nationwide SCAM, that makes it seem as though victims are whinning. A scam is a scam, and certainly hundreds of victims can't all be wrong.

Not a scam in my opinion
AUTHOR: Abigail - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, June 30, 2006
I have been a client of Allince for about 7 months. I have had quite abit of activity from buyers interested in my business. If people who sign up with alliance would read their contracts - NOWHERE is it PROMISED that your business will sell, as a matter of fact, it says "that Alliance cannot guarantee a sale or predict how long it will take to sell the business". At the end of the 12 months the client is offered funding sources or investors - or both.
I cannot understand what all you people are "whining about". Why a "class action suit", when nothing illegal has been done? Maybe you all need to sit down and read your agreements again. The clients who signed up with Alliance received what they upfront fee was for - a valuation. My valuation was right on the money with what it was estimated when I signed up.
I did my checking up on the company before I signed up. I had been approached by several other companies (competitors of Alliance) but none of them had as many clients and one of them had left their client high and dry without even receiving valuations. So I chose Alliance and I am happy I did. If my business does not sell within the 12 months, I will continue on with Alliance. I am marketing in other ways also and I have my valuation for my selling tool.
If Alliance brings the buyer to me - I will be happy to five them the "Expense Fee" I agreed to. If I sell it on my own, then that is fine too.
If you are not happy with Alliance, then just take your listing away from them. You got what you paid for - your valuation. It sounds like to me that some client just wants their money back, did not read the agreement and decided to throw a temper tantrum. This is a good company, doing a good service and Alliance does not deserve to be treated this way.

How do the victims organize?
AUTHOR: Ronald - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, June 29, 2006
I agree the victims need to organize for effective action (lawsuit, investigation, publicity) but we need a point of contact. Is there any attorney involved in this that we could all contact? Based on the few reports filed on this website,I don't believe even a small fraction of the victims have been contacted nor are they even aware that there may be a couple of thousand other victims out there that have shared their unpleasant experience with these con artists. There is strength in numbers--but only if we join together. if not, we are all just individual victims whining about how we got ripped off. If we don't get organized and go after these people, they will just pack their wagon and move on to the next scam. Any ideas, anyone?
