Finger Companies - West University West University Village Refuse to give deposit back Internet

I had been intereseted in getting an apartment at West University Village. So they asked me to pay them the $ 50 application fee and a $300 deposit to start with. Which I paid the same day online to expedite everything.

After this was paid, it was a series of we need this and that. All sorts of documents were provided and after about a month they requested $450 more deposit because apparently we were not considered blabh blah blah. They needed us to provide them with a land line telephone # of our previous landlord???? And when we told them the landlord does not have one, they said sorry its the rules.

And then comes moving day. we gave notice from our old place and have all our belongings packed and show up there in a uhaul. They want us to sign a whole year lease when we requested 6 month lease. So now we cant sign a 6 month lease and if we sign a 1 year lease they have a whole long list of charges we pay if we move out before hand. 

So we didn't sign the lease. And they refused to give any of our deposit back. so we lost a total of $750 just for a deposit which we waited a month, and not to mention the back and forth they made us go. Not just did we loose the deposit. but before moving in they requested that we get rental insurance and the electric setup. So we had all that setup and paid in advance. Such a hassle we had! Never trust finger companies!
