Fingerhut/axsys bank ripoff victimized many consumers St. Cloud Minnesota

I had a Fingerhut Credit Advantage card for over a year, it was set up where the monthly payments we automatically taken out of my bank account.

The first part of this year, for some unknown reason they quit taking out the payments. I was never notified of this.

I received a statement each month that continued to say " You are currently taking advantage of our pre-authorized check method of payment".

I never received any type of notification that they had stopped taking the payment out.

One day I desided to get my credit report and noticed that Fingerhut had turned in a very bad report. Claiming that I was over 6 months behind in my payments. I called them immediately and was told that because I didn't call and tell them that it was ok to continue taking the payments out, they stopped,.

The lady that I talked to said that because there was no record of anyone ever trying to get in contact with me over this, she was giving me 2 months late charges back.

I set the account back up on monthly payments, with the assurance that they would straighten out my credit rating. They never have.

I tried to get a loan to buy a house and thanks to Fingerhuts bad rating I have been declined! My credit is ruined. THey don't even have a phone number where you can call them at any more. They want you to write them.

I did, I sent it express mail with a fax number for them to reply to. I have never heard from them.
