I recieve a call from First Capitol back in May of 2002, they said I had been approved for 2 credit cards...a Master card with a limit of 2500 and a visa with 2000. But I had to make a deposit of 199 from my debit card. So I did and on june 17th they took it out. Well I waited and waited on the cards and never recieved them, but then i did recieve a folder full of BS coupons, other rip off scam offers, and an application for a prepaid master card.

I have tried to contact them for 2 months and only get a voice mail which they never return calls. And then finally today I got a hold of a customer service rep who asked me for my pin # (which i didn't get one) and I told her my situation and she got really ugly with me and when i asked to speak with a supervisor she hung up on me. I imediatly called back and 3 different times i spoke with other people and they hung up on me as soon as i mentioned a refund, then after that when i call i get a voice mail agian.

I have contacted my bank and they investigating it and i have contacted the BBB of Greater Maryland. I hope to get a refund but it doesn't look promising. I wish we could all come together and sue the hell out of them. If anyone is still trying to contact First Capitol yourselves please don't run your phone bill up...they do have an 800 number. The number is 1-800-787-1583 this is a ligit number...this is the number my bank gave me when i called to inquire about the 199 taken out of my accout. YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

Don't give up! You can get your money back! It takes alot of work, and patients, but if you have it then you can get your money back!!!



This is what I did starting on Friday Sept. 6th and got a response today...Sept. 10th!



First I filed a claim with my bank (even though the money was taken out in June)Second I filed complaints with FTC (www.ftc.com), BBB of Greater Maryland (www.bbb.com), FBI (www.fbi.com), News media, Attorney Gernerals office (www.naag.org), Phone Busters (www.phonebusters.com or call 1-888-495-8501), www.consumer.gov, www.ripoffreport.com, Contacted their funding bank Pacific Mechantile 1-800-498-3063, and United Capturdyne (the processing company that debits you account for them) 1-800-476-4828, and called every number that I have found for First Capital and harrassed the customer service people to have someone call me a good numbers to call and get a hold of them at is: 1-866-898-8999, 1-899-484-1271, 1800-787-1583.



Third After I did all of this...I called UNITED CAPTRUDYNE AT 1-800-476-4828. NOW PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS: When you call they ask for the company who debited you account and then try to give you a 800 #, I promptly told the ladies (Patricia,Robin,Bonnie) what had happend and demanded to talk to their supervisor because this is fraud, and that i couldn't get a hold of first capital consumers, i then was given the run around, i told them that i wanted to talk to a supervisor NOW, and if they didn't let me then i would report them also for being a 2nd party to the scheme! Imediatly I was connected to Keyanna who is the manager, I told her my situation that first capital had debited my account for 2 credit cards which i never recieved, and i demanded a refund, because it is against the law for them to withdrawl monies from my account with out first rendering services, she told me that she would have first capital contact me and they would take care of this situtation.



I then added that if I was not contacted by them and refunded that i would also report them for having part in this fraud and i would be having my lawyer contact them. She insisted that they have no part in this with them (she is lying, they are the ones that debit your account for first capital, and process all of first capitals finances), I then said to her oh yes you do, you are the ones who debited my account and you are THIER processing company right? She then said yes we do thier processing and debit accounts for them, but it is all done via wire transfer. I then told her that if that is so, then they are just as much a part of the scheme as they are, for offering sevices and debiting accounts with out first rendering services or rendering the credit cards at all, and that if she didn't personally talk to first capital consumers i would be having my lawyer contact her personally!



Well she assured me that she would personally send my information and request for my FULL refund back into my bank account to them promptly by 3pm that day (yesterday, 9-9-02) to First Capital Consumers. Well this must of set a fire under someones a*s because today 9-10-02 at 12:22pm I had a voice mail message from First Capital Consumers, it stated: "Hello this message is for Mr. Robert Betts, this is First Capital Consumers and we have issued a Full refund to your account please allow 10 days from tomorrow for this to post onto your account, again this is First Capital Consumers and we have issued you a FULL refund to you account!" The number on my caller Id says: Toronto,On 1-416-488-1269. They MAN who left the message did not state his name nor a number that I could reach him at, and I called this number back to confirm the message and no one answered..so lets hope that it DOES get back into my account! I will post an update when the refund is posted to my bank account! I hope that this can help you, and others that may read this! Please do not close your bank account out because if you do happen to be able to get a refund, they will need to refund it back into the same account it came from. BUT in the mean time keep a low balance in it like $10 and monitor it closely to see if you get a refund or if they try to swendle you out of more money, OPEN a new account and remember DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR BANK INFO OR PERSONAL INFO TO ANYBODY OVER THE PHONE!!!

Please don't waist any more of your money calling First Capital Consumers! I have done alot of research the last few days and it seems that they have over a hundred different numbers, but they all ring to the same exact place! I contacted my bank and they gave me some 800 #'s to get in contact with First Capital and their funding banks.

The toll free number for First Capital is 1-800-787-1583

The toll free number for the funding bank (Pacific Merintile) 1-800-4983063

And the number for United Capturdyne is 1-800-476-4828

Im not sure who the United Capturdyne is...but they are the one's who gave me thier 800 #.

It is very obvious that First Capital don't want to be contacted because in order for me to even find out who took out my $199 I had to call my bank who then gave me the number to Pacifie Merintile (who is supposed to be the funding bank for the cc's you'll never recieve). Then Pacific Merintile gave me a Comp Id# and a trace #, then I had to call United Capturyne and give them those numbers(who I think is the company that records you giving autorization for the withdrawl...but don't quote me I am not positive about that). Then.....They gave me the 800 # for First Capital. Now I am in the process of Reaming out who ever I can get a hold of, because they have gave me the runaround for such a long time and it has been over 60 days for my bank to do anything. So they mite of won the time game with me, but when i get done i WILL have my money back.(well I hope so anyway)My bank is still doing an investigation on this matter so lets hope something will work! I have also wrote to this site in hopes that they can help me get my money back...and thank you for having this site with out it we all would still be in the dark! well i'll keep you up to date with how its going...and good luck to all of you out there!
