FCNB - Spiegel First Consumer's National Bank ripoff and deception about payments overlimit fees and dispute actions Old Bethpage New York

At first, I thought the spiegel card from FCNB was a great way to establish a wardrobe--something I have never had to the fullest until I received the spiege/FCNB card.
All was okay until I lost my job for only two months. Fcnb then took this opportunity to make sure it kept me over the limit, paying very high fees, and charging me the maximum in a minimum payment. This abuse all occured after I told them I had lost my job and I needed to then use my credit card insurance.

When I filled-out the application to use my credit card insurance, FCNB dishonored it and did not let me activate it. FCNB then continued to charge me overlimit fees and late fees without even a five day grace period.

FCNB's abuses turned even darker when their reps began even lying to me and stating that I hadn't made 100.00, 200.00 etc payments at all and did not post some of them. These reps then proceeded to try to get me to make double payments of these large payments. This was when I decided to go for help.

After I received some lite intervention, FCNB stopped the lying through its misguided reps,. Everything went okay for awhile until I noticed that FCNB changed my account number without notice, explanation, or any reason. I just saw a different account number. I have since put this statement, when I noticed the different account number, into dispute.

I haven't heard anything back from FCNB and its been almost a month. I just realized today that this was a mistake I made, because with how dishonest FCNB is, I will probably have my rights to suspend my payment in the month I made this dispute violated, and then the late payment fees will start accruing again.

I wonder if this change of account number without an explanation(FCNB hoping I would delay payment while in dispute, therefore, making another late payment if rights violated to have it suspended while in dispute) was a ploy to get me back late on my payments so FCNB could then proceed to charge back up my credit limit with fees?

But, I really do not want to make payments on a new account number, in which I don't know if it is really mine or not. FCNB has caused me so much emotional and financial damage that I have had to seek counseling from PH.d's on the matter. I have never had reps at a bank overtly lie and tell me I did not make any payments at all , and actually not post them either, when I had made payments in excess of 100.00, which was even over the minimum payment amount.
