First Data / EMPS Express Merchant Processing Solutions are now forcing merchants to accept another $19.95/month baseless fee now for Transarmor transaction insurance and PCI compliance which you cannot refuse.
If you call 866-359-0978 to "Opt Out" from the $19.95/month Transarmor Solution they will ask for your email address to send a confirmation of opting out, BUT will never send the confirmation.
If you read the new ammendment to the processing agreement you will find they will be charging you the $19.95/month fee because your PCI compliance does not include the services provided by the new Transarmor solution.
So your annual internet PCI compliance for access to the First Data gateway will go from $80.00/year to $239.40/year weather you play the little PCI compliance game or not.
You will be giving First Data an extra $159.40 every year for nothing.
