So I've had a credit card through first financial bank of usa for about a year. I put my brother's christmas present on it, and that was the only thing on this card, $120, I just wanted to help build my credit. While I was paying off the balance, with a minimum payment of $10, after 2 months and 3 payments I noticed I was charged $27!! My limit is only 150, I am a new customer and barely 18 when I got the card, so that was understandable. I was unaware and had made a purchase on the card for about 4 dollars when I was unable to find my debit card at the store. So my new balance was over my limit by about a dollar, and I was charged $34. I just sighed and paid the $34, and decided to pay the card off in two payments. After the first payment i made of $30, I was charged again for an overage fee, then again because that fee put my balance over. so in total I was charged another $68! I called, told them I had already paid the over fee and was not paying either of the new ones. They said they couldn't find the initial fee, and they would only take off one of the fees. I fought with these people! After being on the phone for over an hour, they took both fees off, and now that my credit score already sucked I cancelled the card. I paid it off in full the next month, but am so upset with this company! This was my first card, and was supposed to build my credit and instead I got ripped off! And now I'm 19 with bad credit!

The 27 dollar original fee, was for paying my bill online. 9 dollars everytime I payed by phone or internet. But as I've seen online through others, you have to send in your payment through the mail 3 weeks in advance for them not to charge you a late fee.
