I got an email from Jay Abraham (I was on his email list) telling me of an opportunity, the "Deal of the Decade" he called it. Normally I'd be suspicious, and I was a little, but since it was from Jay Abraham, I felt it must be legit, though probably overhyped. To check it out, you have to sign up to attend a teleconference at one of seven time slots. All mumbo jumbo. It was a prerecorded audio that could have been made available online. Still, "the deal" sounded good....

In the prerecorded "conference" I learned that Abraham has teamed up with John Eliason and Chuck Fowler to revolutionize the credit-card processing industry -- words to that effect. The idea is that merchants who sign on with First Financial for card processing get access to Jay's business building expertise at no extra charge. What they want from me is to become a sales agent signing up merchants with First Financial. On the "conference" website, they had brochures showing the bonus and residuals I would get. d**n, it looked good! I eagerly started the sign up process. AFTER giving my name, birth date, and social security (yes, I know...), I got to their contract form. Suddenly things didn't look so good anymore.

There were at least six different ways for First Financial to simply not pay me those nice bonuses or residuals. Worse, there were three different ways for them to dip into my private bank account and take as much OUT of it as they pleased. I should have stopped reading at that point but honestly I'm a tad desperate, so I looked for the termination clause. Guess what? There isn't one. Once you sign, you can't terminate the agreement for three years. They own you and they own your bank account. They can terminate whenever they wish, but not you. You're stuck. Oh, another nice thing. If you reveal what's in that contract, they can sue you for disclosing their business practices. Fortunately I didn't sign because if I had, they could come after me right now for telling you: Beware and steer clear of First Financial, Jay Abraham, Chuck Fowler, and John Eliason.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Update from Dave Christian, Founder of Helpology.org

AUTHOR: Dave Christian, Founder & CEO, Helpology.org - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 30, 2011

Recently, I received the following message via my contact form on Helpology.org.

"Back in January, you posted about First Financial Merchant Services on Ripoff Report. You promised updates, but none are shown. Can you share your experience with them? Thank you."

In my previous Ripoff Report post, "Credibility & Trustworthiness - Trust, but Verify!", I stated:

"Time permitting, I plan to add updates here on RipoffReport.com as I test the facts, gather more data, and observe the results."

Although I never actually promised updates, I still thought it would be good for me to make the time to add the following update:

Due to my busy schedule, I chose to never pursue my former employment with First Financial Merchant Services.

Therefore, I simply have no further facts, data, or observations to share.

Sorry I could not have been more helpful.

Sincerely,

Dave Christian
Founder, Helpology.org

Credibility & Trustworthiness - Trust, but Verify!

AUTHOR: Dave Christian, Founder, Helpology.org - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, January 08, 2011

(This article is a response to the entry, First Financial Merchant Services, Deceptive Practices to Lure Agents, Highly Suspicious Contract Terms.)

Hi, my name is Dave Christian.

To begin with, please allow me to introduce myself to establish my history of credibility and trustworthiness.

First, heres just a small sample of what others say about me

More Dave Christian Testimonials ("Letters of Recommendation" near bottom of page): http://helpology.wordpress.com/founder/

Next, I'm a highly qualified and award-winning executive with 17 years of professional experience, a former United States Marine Corps public relations specialist, author of the book, "How to Gain Love, Respect, Happiness, Health, and Wealth," and founder of helpology - the biblical and scientific study of the most helpful products and services.

Finally, I hold a B.S. in Organizational Leadership with a 3.7 GPA from Biola University and am now pursuing both the online M.B.A. at Western Governors University and the Online Executive Program for Financial Planner Certification at the University of Georgia.

Now let's research Jay Abraham's history of credibility and trustworthiness:

? "Ive met only two marketing geniuses in my life. The first was Vince Fagan, the man who came up with, When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight - Fed Ex. The second is Jay Abraham. Jay teaches you more workable, tangible, profitable techniques and strategies than you can probably apply in three lifetimes. But what he teaches you about mindset is his true gift of wealth.
- Michael Basch, an original founder of Federal Express

Next, let's review First Financial's history of credibility and trustworthiness:

? "We would like to thank First Financial for making our transition with our credit card services smooth and stress free. They have excellent customer service with great rates and are always friendly. We had issues that arose and were taken care of in a very speedy and professional manner. They go above and beyond to meet our needs and questions. We are 100% satisfied and recommend First Financial."
- Dr. Shaun Tymchak, D.C., Genesis Health and Wellness

Specifically, in regard to the complaint of Deceptive Practices to Lure Agents, I personally went through the same entire process as stated (i.e. an e-mail sent to me from Jay because I was on his list, the Web site sign up for a conference call, etc.). But my experience was from an entirely different perspective. Personally, I did not feel deceived by the conference call recording; instead, I saw the genius behind the Informational Technology that Jay and First Financial are choosing to employ to professionally, yet personally, multiply themselves to millions of people.

Moreover, according to Wiktionary.org, a conference call can be simply defined as a call between more than two people. And this call is, in fact, between four people (even though it is a recorded message). Besides, do you really think these professional have the free time to interview and talk to hundreds of thousands of people each day? The system they have developed is pure, creative genius; because it allows them to be making money while they could be on vacation in the Bahamas! I dont know about you, but those are the types of business models Im very interested in.

Furthermore, unlike the gold standard of the past (mailed, personal sales letters which are proven effective, but cost a lot of money and effort to produce, not to mention create much waste), these new digital sales systems Jay and First Financial are pioneering are simply amazing business models that have the potential to affordably mass communicate ones professional message in a very personalized way.

The applications will only be limited by your imagination.

As far as the concern of, Highly Suspicious Contract Terms, one should expect a professional business proposal to be in favor of protecting the companys interests and profits, or the firm could quickly go out of business. After researching the contract, I saw no red flags. In fact, they didnt even want my bank account information until after I make my first sale. In a nutshell, it basically states that if I produce, I will earn a sizeable paycheck every week, but if I stop producing, I will earn less (or nothing at all) - sounds fair enough to me.

Its not for everyone, but thats exactly what commissioned sales is all about you earn what you are truly worth you sink or swim. But if this career turns out not to be a good fit for you, the unbelievable, free training provided through Jay Abrahams highly qualified counsel should benefit you in whatever you choose to do for the rest of your life!

In summary, after thoroughly researching both parties above, I have personally decided to scientifically test this company's true potential by becoming an Independent Account Manager myself: http://www.cardsupport1.com/careers/index.php?view=career_openings&cid=16

Time permitting, I plan to add updates here on RipoffReport.com as I test the facts, gather more data, and observe the results.

In conclusion, based on their proven track records, it is illogical and ludicrous to imply or assume Jay Abraham and First Financial have some evil plot to pilfer personal bank accounts. This would damage their hard-earned and well-deserved, stellar reputations, thereby destroying any future potential for success in the market place. They would stand to lose millions or even billions of dollars in future profits!

Not to mention, they don't need our money illegally! They are already leading, world-class professionals at earning respectable financial profits by legally creating and offering highly competitive products and services that help their clients save time, energy, and money. Why would they jeopardize their careers for what would amount to chump change comparatively to what they are already earning? It just wouldnt make sense.

But just to be on the safe side, instead, why not simply open up a separate bank account to use strictly for this business opportunity?

Worst case scenario: (1) they do end up stealing money from your account; (2) then you would have official documents proving the crime; (3) you could write an interesting book exposing the scam; (4) you could go on talk shows explaining how America's Number One Marketing Wizard," Jay Abraham, is actually a thief; and (5) you could sell millions of books, get a movie deal, and still end up making a nice profit for all your time and effort!

In closing, I have resolved not to let my "fear of the unknown" paralyze me from logically testing an opportunity all the way through. By scientifically applying First Financial's business model, one has little to lose (except time and energy) and much to gain.

In fact, the proven, sales training alone is potentially worth hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars in future profits to an individual or organization.

Most importantly, if this business model proves successful (and I believe it will, because Jay Abraham is the marketing genius behind it), I will be able to offer my children, family, friends, and clients, a proven way to earn a serious income stream for the rest of their lives as they respectably help others save time, energy, and money.

Of course, ones history of credibility and trustworthiness does not guarantee anything; only time (and testing) will tell.

"Trust, but verify!"

P.S. If I can help you in any way, just let me know.

P.P.S. Keep asking, The Question: "What's the most helpful and simplest way that works?"
