If you are reading this, then I assume you are looking for a job in either sales or marketing. You most likely have an account on linked in, monster, and indeed. FFUSA in Medina, MN is after only one thing, your friends and family. 

On my first day at First Financial, Chuck set me up in the basement with some paper work and told me to take a tour of the website. Later on, John came down and told me how much money he has, and how I can be successful like he is if I simply want it bad enough. After that, I was told to download an app on my phone that would input all of my contacts into their data base. This would be my potential client list.

With no official training, I was given my cube and told to start selling. I honestly did not understand what it was the company did, there was no actual training about what credit card processing is or how it works. Chuck told me to start calling my family members who own businesses, he told me it didnt matter what the price was, or what they would save, or anything like that because good family members buy things from those they love no questions asked. He made me hassle all of my friends on facebook, all of my family members, and anyone else I had crossed paths with in life to try and get them to use FFUSA for credit card processing.

I was able to close a few sales somehow, but once my list was exhausted and I wanted to start prospecting on my own, John and Chuck made me feel like I had worn out my welcome. I didnt hit their goal of 10 sales in 6 weeks, so I was not going to be moving up the ladder. This of course does not stop them from having new employees follow up with me every few months to try and re-recruit me.

That being said, they paid what they said they would, and commissions and residuals do exist. Anyone who is not looking for a sales job where you harass your friends and family however, should refrain from taking a job at FFUSA. Also, they were voted best place to work while I was there, and I didnt have a say or a vote in the matter, niether did anyone else I spoke with that was working there. They act like they are this big successful business, but in reality, people are being used and thrown out.

I've been with FFUSA for nearly eight years and what you are saying are half truths.  The only way to start in this business is to sell to businesses that you frequent.  They know who you are and appreciate your business.  If you can improve the way they process cards and save them money in the process, why wouldn't they give you their business?

The truth that both John Iliason and Chuck Fowler make a lot money is because they have worked very hard and are some of the best at selling merchant services in our industry.  They have it down to a science that they openly share. 

Selling merchant services is hard work.  But, it pays off.  I've been with FFUSA for nearly eight years and have been paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions.  I'm sorry to hear that you quit especially after some initial success, but your quitting was your own doing.
