first house financial is a rip off. they dont send you a list of places to rent. Instead they sent you list of foreclosure homes which you are able to research online on your own.  They post ads on craigslist and after your card is charged two dollars that ad is removed.  Their ads usually say there's 1 bedroom apartment for rent for $600 dollars or so.  When you call and speak to someone, they twist the situation.  They say the houses are rent to own.  Mind you, this is after you have already paid.  To cancel your account they charge you $5.00 extra.  While I was on the phone with one agent, I heard other agents talking to other callers and asking them when they had applied, etc. To make a long story short, these callers had to go through the same process, I went through.  The point is that they are ripping off plenty of people everyday and they are profiting off charging for registration and cancellation fee.  Someone needs to take legal action against them

Obviously we aren't making any money over a small registration, we're compensated for successful placement which
is what pushes us to get you placed as quickly as possible. Thank you!

I'm having second thoughts about this company.

I have did everything I was suppose to do. I have sent the letters in the mail, I have followed up with the homeowners......and nothing. I called your company and asked for guidance and all they said was go to the local county office to get the homeowners phone number and call them. After reading the posts and comments on this site about your company I'm thinking that the homes that were on that list are homes that are not looking to rent or sell their homes. I'm also beginning to think that the homeowners are unaware of their homes being listed in your database and that they are not even in the pre-foreclosure status......because if they were they would be glad to take me up on the offer, they would be quick to respond to the letters and the follow-ups. In another post was a homeowner who was angry because you all had listed her home and she had never been late with her payments and she had strange people coming to her home asking to view it and I find that very dangerous and embarrassing for the people who are paying their money to your company and to find out they were just wasting their time going to people's homes who aren't even interested in this type of program or not even in default on their loans. My question to you all is where are you getting your information on these homes??......and why are you causing people to go through the trouble of hand-writing letters to people who aren't even in pre-foreclosure. I had faith in your company but now, I'm skeptical, your thoughts please?

Issue is Resolved!

Yes, with a little variation of the procedure you can just rent. You would simply notify the original owner of your intent to leave. However, if you decide to stay in the home you would also have the option of owning it. Thank you!
