I look at my bank account this morning and find that I'm negative $117.00. I think to myself "impossible, I should have like $3.00" (I live by the penny" I see there were 4 Overdrawn fees from the bank, totaling $120 JUST IN THE OD FEES!!

As I look at my purchases I see that they charged me a $30 OD fee BEFORE I WENT NEGATIVE!! Then, because of that OD fee, I went negative after that. The total of my purchases from that OD charge and on is $61.22. I had $64.22 in the bank, leaving me with $3.00 just as I thought!

I call the bank, (the main center, not a branch) they try telling me I didn't understand and it's because of holds. I ask them what holds I have and even so WHY they charged me BEFORE I actually went negative. She answers with "There are no more holds on your account", therefore, I never went negative... and I should have $3.00 in the bank.

Nope, not good enough, it's still my fault SOMEHOW, well the manager tries telling more stories... I ask to speak to the Manager and she proceeds to tell me stories, none of which make sense. Finally the manager says, "Well because it will take me a while to look into the holds (which little did she know the other lady already told me there were no holds and everything had gone through) she just gave me a COURTESY REVERSAL on the fees totaling $120! A COURTESY!!!

Kind Of Sad

Guy comes into my shop on Thur. 10-26 and buys a watch on his debit card for $59. Comes back 15 minutes later with the watch saying his girl didn't like it. No problem, just void out the sale. Calls me Sat. 10-28 and tells me he has no money in his account because of the hold. I said I voided the sale, so there shouldn't be a hold. Hell if I know about holds. He tells me I need to fax a letter to his internet bank and they'll release the hold. I call his internet bank. What do they tell me? They are the one's who have put the hold on the $59. Not me. And two, even if I fax a letter to them on Sat. , there's no one in the office until Mon. and then it takes two more days after that for the hold to come off. Another thing, even if I hadn't faxed the letter, the hold stays on for one week before it drops off. So either way it either comes off on Wed. with the letter or Thur. without the letter. The poor guy's out his money for six or seven days either way. Something needs to be done about these holds.
