I have literally paid this company hundreds of dollars in both payments and fees. I've never charged more than $200.00 on the card at any given time. I've payed the card off, or so I thought. Yet, I have never received a letter from them saying the account was closed, and the card was paid off in full. They still continue to receive a $50.00 monthly payment from me, UNTIL NOW!! I am utmost concerned about my credit report and have no faith in that the company will not file on my report. However, they will never receive another dime from me, and If it is reflected on my credit report they will be contacted by a lawyer. Not to mention, none of their numbers work. Both, on the website or the back of the card. What kind of reputable company operates like this?

First Premier.

First Premier is a Sub-Prime Credit Card for people with bad credit. So can we take that the only reason you got this card in the first place is because you could not get credit anywhere else? They are good for the purpose or rebuilding your credit. But if you didn't like the fees you were not forced to get this card.

Now, I never applying for their card. The reason is I actually read the terms and decided to not apply for the card because I thought the fees were outragous. However, once you applied and used it you are bound by the terms of the card.

There must be more to this story. You say you paid it off but never recieved a letter stating it was closed. These are TWO different things. You can pay off a card without closing it. If you just paid it off but did not notify them it was closed they can still charge you the fees. Also, if they continue to get $50 a month how could you have paid it off.

By the way if you do stop paying the only one who will be contacted by a lawyer would be you when they decide to file a suit against you.
