Don't send in big payments!!! I had paid off my credit card through first premier on Wednesday Feb 6, the funds were recieved by them on Thursday the 7th by electronic transfer. I was told on the 6th that my credit would be available on the 7th. I wanted to make sure because we were going out of town and we carry the credit card in case of emergancies. Saturday we broke down on the way home and had to call a tow truck.

We were going to pay for the tow truck with the credit card because we had no cash. Or Credit card was declined, so we called and it said balance 0 available credit 0. So if I just paid it off 3 days ago, how come I have no available credit? So I called my bank to find out if they transfered the money electronically to first premier bank and the told me yes they recieved the money on thursday the 7th.

I called first premier and they said they had to hold the funds for 15 days to make sure the funds would not bounce. If it is an electronic transfer, the funds are not going to bounce, because if the funds are not in your bank account, my bank is not going to send them to first premier.

They also told me that if I wanted that they could send a request to the billing department for them to call and verify that the funds were recieved, but it is going to take 24 to 72 hours to do that. This is a bunch of bull crap and I don't think we should have to take it.

Signed

Good Morning! I agree with the responder stating that he has been ripped off. I to paid off my credit card on a Tuesday and was told that funds would be availible immediately. We were going out of town the next day, so this was good news to know that we would have this option open in case of emergency. Well, we had an emergency, and tried to use the card, only to be turned down for now credit availible. I called the company about an hour later and was told that when you paid your account off that they put a 15 day hold on the payment to make sure it was good. I Was not told this when I made the payment and furthermore, they did not hesitate to take the money from my banking account. After reading ALOT of comments via internet and other sources, I have since found out that I am not the only person they are doing this to. This appears to be a steady thing for them. I know that this is supposed to help me rebuild our credit, but this is certainly not the way to do it. How are we supposed to have faith that this company is helping us, when we find out that they are not helping us, only causing us more heartache? I know by reading various comments that others have said that if we had handled things properly in the past we would not be in this boat. Well that person had no right to say that, because everyone is not the same. Take us, our problems were not related to not being able to handle money. We had very large medical bills for our child and myself that almost sunk us. I just want others applying for this card to be fully aware and eyes wide open before they get into something thinking one thing and it will turn out to be another.
