Fisher Investments Be aware - Fisher has smooth marketing talk but did a very poor job managing my portfolio San Jose California

It is too bad. I was duped into signing up with Fisher Investments 2 years ago with their fancy marketing hype and expertise understanding the markets thinking they would do a good job managing a portfolio they created for me.  But then they did not manage it after that through the market cycles and held everything. Had no strategy.  They did not take any profits and did round trips in most stocks when it was obvious to the non-professional taking some modest profits in rising marketings knowing full well there would be corrections coming, and then not correcting for declining sectors (e.g. energy - oil) when that was collapsing...just rode it down, or most recently taking no defensive strategy to protect losses going into 2016. I lost my a*s. This was obvious and think their 2016 forcast is a complete joke and overly optimisitic.   I really felt like a cash cow. They collected their fees and did not actively manage the account. I paid them to lose money.  Just a hold strategy and no active managment.  I lost signifcaint principle and felt they would protect me in down markets. They did absolutely nothing.  Their CEO is a dufus listening to him talk along with their other croneys. They missed the recession in 2009 and are clueless to managing down markets. Only thing they are good for is roundtrips. If you are thinking of someone to grown and protect your investments, they are not the right one. You would be better to leave your money in the bank.  After the fact,  I did some reserach on Fisher and they only have medocre performance.  I should have done my homework.   The only thing good with Fisher is they have these nice client dinners where their managment paints an overly optimistic view of the market that did not come close to be true. They came accross as experts but their market predications were off. I had hoped to find someone to manage my money in down markets since everyone makes money in up markets. Fisher is not it.
