I signed up for a free 5day pass to try at Fitness Connection, which I got from their website.  I went for a free class on February 21st 2014,evening. After the class ,the customer service lady told me that I could let them know if I would like to become a member or not and that I had 3 days to inform them. But because I had taken a free class, she wanted me to sign on a document which confirmed that I had taken a free class. I told her I wanted to try their gym and then decide if I want to join it or not. She said,it is simple ,just pay $5.00 to get a deal and then after 3 days if you don't want to join,we will refund your $5.00 back,no issues. So I signed on a form, which for for the free passes.

After 3 days I went back to the gym,to cancel my membership. The manager made me wait for an hour for no reason and after that, when I got to talk to him,he sounded very concerned and said"you are breaking my heart but I will still give you your copy of cancellation". He gave me a copy of cancellation and said the $5.00 will be refunded back on my card. I saw on the cancellation, the address for gym was of Dallas. I questioned him and he said, that is the head-office where the cancellation is done,so he had given that address.

I thought ,all said and done,I am done with my membership at this place. But after 1st March, I checked my credit card statement and this place had charged me $ 10.71. I  was shocked! And then, they started harassing me everyday that I owe them $100.00 as the initiation fee. I called their customer service number a number of times. The customer service lady was so,so rude and she threatened me that she will send my account to the collection agency if I don't pay upfront. She said,I give you  a month's  time,if I don't pay the initiation fees ,I will have to face the consequences! I said, I had a FREE 5day pass and I had not accepted any membership,to which she answers that there is no 5 day free pass and the paper on which I signed was not for the 5 day pass but for the membership and now that I have signed ,I owe them $100! They tricked me!

Now,for the last 1 month,I have got 5-6 calls per day asking me to pay $100.00. I am fed up these people.  I read somewhere that if I don't pay, my credit score will get affected.I would request the general public to  never ever go to this gym because it is all dirty business. They are just interested in taking your money and they will go to the extreme to do that.I wish this report saves me from anymore damage and headache.
