Fitness Experience State-of-the-Art my READ END!!! Scottsdale, Arizona

OK, this is good......

They take zip-lock plastic bags, put a few rocks inside them, and add a flier  ('Rock Fliers,' is what my brother says they are called) and throw them out the car window onto your driveway.  I've gotten about 5 of them in the past year from them.

The flier says the membership i  Yes, it's 14 dollars a month, s "As low as $14 a month' and that they have 'State-of-the-art' fitness machines and TV/Entertainment systems.

Well let's clear this up!

1)  Yes, it's $14 month... if you pay $175 up front.  So basically, it's about $30 a month if you average it out with all factors involved. 

2)  State-of-the-art doesn't quite describe it.  They have 15" regular TV's from the 1990s hanging on angles from sticks in the ceiling.  They sway back and forth as the air conditioning hits them.  Their equipment looks like one of the better clubs gave it to them when they got the new stuff.  I haven't seen fitness equipment like this since the early 1990s, and one of their members who has been there for 15 years said it's the original equipment they had when he joined.

3)  The owner, who is clearly obese and never played any kind of sport in his life, told me he would personally train me, but since he's been successful in the industry for 20+ years, he would charge $150 an hour to do so.  When I said that wasn't a possibility, they threw some chubby young guy in front of me whose vocabulary was limited to, "Just do it, we'll get you fit!"  And of course I got sold on some line of supplements that I've never heard of, but they said if I didn't take these 4 specific things I wouldn't get anywhere.


Well, I decided to stay at my gym, which is more expensive but I know what I'm getting.  I figured since I had just completed my 12th marathon, I probably didn't need a 300lb obese gym owner telling me that I wasn't in shape.

Furthermore, within 5 minutes of this gym, there is a Mountainside Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, and Pure Fitness.... all which have better rates for better products.
