This company along with Car Plaza is full of crap. BEWARE!! Of course they will approve you for a loan, but you will end up paying double what the car is worth. That's not even the worse part ...let's start out with Car Plaza's end of the deal.

Car Plaza got me approved for a car. However they did not give me the correct insurance when I drove off the lot. Nor did they notify me that I didn't have the right insurance. They didn't tell me the insurance they signed me up for needed pictures sent to the agency, they didn't even tell me who the agency was. They told me they signed me up with the current agency and insurance policy I already had. LIES, ALL LIES!!

Two months later I get in a car accident. The insurance company cancelled my policy because they claimed I never sent pictures when i did. By the way that would be United Automobile Insurance.

Moving right along, I call Flamingo and let them know i was wrecked, and to see what they could do for me. An employee by the name of Sheila says she will call the insurance company, and if they won't fix my car they will enroll me in the repair program. This is of course after i've left her a ton of messages and just happened to catch her on the phone one morning because these people don't return phone calls.

So I speak to someone else they say OH NO you are not eligible for the repair program. Someone else calls me back and says well i will come out and take pictures of your car and see if I can recommend u to be in the program. Just get an estimate and call Joann. Well Joann must have past away before he told me this, because i left her messages and she never called me back.

So finally, nothing happens and I realize it's up to me to get this car fixed. Mind you this entire time I have been making payments. Now they charge me $135 for an appraisal fee. Who told them to come out to take pictures of my car when they weren't going to get it fixed. If i would have never told them the car was in an accident they would have never known. I have received many answers as to why they charged me this money. It's because I didn't have insurance, it's because the car was wrecked and they had to see the damage, it's because the car was up for repo. Bottom line is they charged me this without my authorization, I could have gotten an appraisal done on my own.

Now this lady at the branch tells me, she doesn't even know if she is obligated to give me a copy of this so called apraisal. So now, I'm calling everyone in there company everyday, to make sure that they know i am not just another number, that i am a person and I don't appreciate being taken advantage of.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!

Same Crap we are going throgh wFlamingo

AUTHOR: Mike - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

I also purchased a car from car plaza in 2008. At that time they had at least three other dealerships in Ft Lauderdale. Since then all the dealerships have closed down, and Flamingo Finance is ap for sale. Some facts about Flamingo Financve and Car Plaza, 1st- Did you know that the owner of Flamingo Finace was the owner of all the car plazas, I believe that thry did not even run my credit through the proper companies, I think they have it set up that once you purchase the car, it will be Financed through Flamingo, 2nd-The owner and CEO was David, and he has fled from the company and i dont know who who is in charge anymore. I am at work right now, I will finish giving more information about this horrific company.

Tanks,

Michael

Call them back

I think that you should keep calling them back and request that they refund that fee. That company is going out of business and they are trying to get as much money as they can before they shut down. Don't be a victim of these crooks.
