Flamingo Financing Company They Are Ripoff Artists Fort Lauderdale Florida

The same exact thing happened to me. I am dealing with them as we speak. They contacted me over the Holidays and stated since I was such a great paying customer they wanted to extend to the option to have my payments deferred until after the 1st of January. After I asked several questions about the program and it not being a penalty for accepting the program. The young insisted there wasn't. The next week I received several calls stating that my payment was due. When I called back and finally got to speak with a real person they informed me that they did see it noted in my account that I was offerred the deferment program and that I accepted it but it was never processed. Really! was my thought.

They then proceeded to to inform me that they would keep their end of the deal and give me the deferment, but I had to bring my account current, ( in actuality they wanted me pay the payment that they were suppose to defer). I paid the "late" payment to bring my account current, in turn they were "nice" enough to do me a "favor" and defer my next 3 payments for me. After the 3 weeks passed I made 2 payments which I do every 2 weeks to avoid late payments and harassing phone calls. I could not believe when I received a phone call stating that I needed to make my payment. I was pissed. I inquired about the payment they were demanding from me. The first person I spoke with stated it was a payment for being their "repair program" which I have never had any work done on my car, the next person I spoke with stated it was a fee for the deferment program, I said WHAT THE HELL are you talking about. then it was a payment they said that I owed Car Plaza where I got the car from 2 years ago they said I still owed money for my down payment. I have been calling for 2 weeks to get an answer and to no avail no one can tell me where this charge came from. I called Car Plaza who stated they have no idea what Flamingo is talking about. I called them back and told them that and now they are telling me that its a payment that I owe. I told them I am not paying them anything until they can give me some evidence of where this amount came from. I pay my payment now every week nothing more nothing less, and until they either pick up the car or find out where this extra payment came from I will continue to pay weekly rather than bi-weekly. On another note I called last week to get a payoff amount on my car so I could trade it in they told me until I brought my account current they couldn't give me anything. I then went to the branch where I pay my payment and the lady behind the very thick glass had a very nasty attitude with me because she could not understand where this additional payment came from and I was adament about not paying them. The branch manager by the name of Vanessa told me I could only speak to her after 2 PM it was 10 o'clock in the morning I need to wait to speak with, I don't think so. I got home called Vanessa back and she told me she has been looking into the matter and has not gotten an answer yet because she can not dedicate the time right now to look in depth into the matter because she is understaffed. I said ok you have enough staff to call and harrass me for a payment that you or neither of your staff can verify what its for.
