Look hers how this sh*t works...I worked for AM Press from Nov. 2005 to around Feb. 2006, not that long I know, but it doesn't take that long to figure just what exactly is going on here.I know the manager or whatever was named Dan, but he might of been just filling in for someone else at the time. He was f**king this girl Jen, and probably every other girl on the crew. He was also a huge d*uche bag. The rest of names on the crew where Billy, Lauren or "Lu-Lu", Cliff or "Biff" as they called him, and Marshall, who used a fake name because he had felony warrants for something. Those four where alright. Especially Lauren I say hi to her every now and again. Then there where the other people that had been there just too d**n long. All they every talked about was selling magazines, which I personally didnt give a sh*t about, I was just trying to kick an addiction. There names where Kalvin, some mexican girl he was dating (cant remember name, Vicky maybe), Justin (a.k.a. Deebo), Katie, April, this p*ssy f**ker Matt, and I think the office persons name was Nikki or something(i think she was f**king Justin) Moe (he was actually alright too he hired me), and others that came and went frequently, oh and some retard name Nick (who got metally tortured day after day after day, I think they stole his PSP when he folded and just left his in Florida somewhere when we was on spur, I kow this cause Marshall, Cliff, and I folded the next day and just bailed on that Justin dude running the spur. Although we had talked about it for a while.) Now look whenever someone got hired we would definatly be "hoping" that night. Make sure you get them away from where they from so they feel stuck almost. Cause they say they will give you bus ticket home if you quit or "fold" but that is just a bunch of bull sh*t. Really they just abandon you there. All you ever get to eat is gas station food, except sundays, Dan would get us real food on Sundays, maybe go to the movies or something. Which he should since you just worked from 7 am to 9 pm, sometimes as late as midnight in Wal Mart till everyone got their quotas. and you do that Monday through Saturday. In any weather. it could be pouring down rain and they make you go out and knock doors, if your sick, too f**king bad, you still knocking doors, "use your sickness as crutch in writing more orders". if its cold "write more orders and ask them to let you inside". If you have less sales than another agent they can "Jap" you. Take your seat, do stuff first, whatever. You sleep on the floor if you didnt have more sales than others in your room, four to six peolpe per room. Sharing beds and sh*t. They even give you a curfew. You have a bed time and everything. Its like running a d**n sweat shop. I seen that matt dude get b***h slapped a bunch of times. Pretty much unless you are a highball it is f**king terrible. I did have some days that where f**king great. We had theater clearing brawl after we say Saw 2. Me, Billy, Marshall, Cliff, and I think the retard Nick was there all tore this one hotel room to sh*it one night after consuming a ridiculous amount of alcohol. We never did drugs, thats one positive i guess. Or should I say not supposed to do drugs, or even talk about them, I myself was smoking weed everyday. I spent the time on my territory trying to talk someone into smoking a bowl with me way more than i spent trying to sell a f**king magazine. i was trying to stop the meth use, which i did, but not my weed. I needed to be high to deal with the bullsh*t that went on. I'm sure others did the same thing. BUT PEOLPE THE MAGAZINES DO COME IF YOU PAY THE REMAINING BALANCE. If you did pay the balance and they dont come its caused you got scammed by the person you bought it from. It will take forever to get the mags but they will come. THE BAD PART OF THIS INDUSTRY IS NOT WHETHER THE MAGS GET THERE OR NOT, ITS THE BRAINWASHING THEY TRY TO DO AND THE WAY THE TREAT THE EMPLOYEES THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I've seen agents threatened that they will be beat up. Dan the manager beat up that girl Jen he was supposed to be dating or whatever cause she didnt have enough sales. Some of the agents have been there so long they will do anything Dan says. They will try to make the female agents sleep with the male agents that arent getting as many sales, this is to motivate apparently. really she is just doing it so Dan or whatever managers there doesnt have the other girls in the group beat the sh*t of them. I could go on and on and on and on about this sh*t. But I am tired as f**k of typing. When I left it was a great decision. It went down like this. Lauren was dating billy. Lauren folded. Billy wanted to go with Lauren but didnt right away. Me, Cliff, and Marshall went on spur with Deebo and we all decided f**k this sh*t too. Marshall was the highball of the crew also. We know they just leave your a** where you at if you are a guy and you fold so we had to just leave all of our s**t in the motel room, we left like we went out to knock doors, and just never came back. We had to get money to get out of town cause by now Deebo is looking for us and is probably pissed since he left with five or six people on spur, and will only return with two. Him and that pu**y Matt. So we went and pawned the "thousand" rings, and the "1500 braclet" that marshall and cliff had. and we all bought tickets the f**k outta there. apparently Billy was sent to find us when we bailed. But he jacked that Dodge Durango Dan had just got and left it somwhere and bailed out of the situation too. We all went to New Mexico, except cliff who went home to Amarillo. I ended up living with billy and lauren for awhile in new mexico, she got pregnant they moved, never really talked to billy again, but say hi to lauren every now and again on myspace. Thats my story.
