Florida Dental Center - Pinellas Park Was not told until day of extraction that my insurance would not cover extraction Pinellas Park, FL Florida

I was seen on August 14th for an emergency visit due to tooth pain. I advised the receptionist I had insurance. I saw the dentist and he stated I need to see the oral surgeon due to the location of the tooth. Upon checking out and scheduling my appointment I asked if I need to pay anything. I was told by the person that scheduled my appointment that my insurance would cover it and did not owe anything. I arrived today to see Robert Snyders, DMD for extraction of tooth #2. I signed the disclosure having to do with a possible side effect of the sinus opening upon extraction and was advised today's surgery was $265. I assumed this was covered by insurance due to the ending of my last appointment. After my extraction I was advised that my insurance will not cover my first visit or the extraction. I asked why I was not called about the $57 balance and the lady stated she did not know. I am now out of $322! I should have been told after the first visit that my insurance would not cover the payment, so I would not have to suffer this financials loss. I am furious with how this was handled and feel like I was scammed into paying way more than I could afford.
