Florida Direct , Florida Way Direct They debited my bank account for $149.00 with my authorization. St Petersburg Florida

I was called by a company called Travel Life, which may or may not be connected with Florida Direct. I mention it only because Travel Life called me about the same time Florida Direct claims they called me. Florida Direct debited my bank account in the amount of $149 without my authorization. I never received the travel information package they said they would mail to me. I called Florida Direct and demanded my $149 back.

They tried to talk me into letting them issue me a "conditional credit" if I would tell them when to re-debit my bank account, after they sent me the package again under an "urgent reship". I said they could resend the information, but I would not give them a date to re-debit my bank account.

So the man told me he would just cancel my whole account with them and that I could write a letter to ask for a refund. He said I could choose between a check for $149 or gas coupons in the amount of $200. I chose the check. I'll see if I really get it. I am going to call my bank to report the debit as fraudulent.
