Florida Energy Water & Air BEWARE!! Orlando Florida

 Purchased our Rainsoft unit just under 3 years ago.  Paid the annual service fee about $150.00 to keep the unit maintained (last time was within the last 6 months).  February 3rd the unit went into regeneration mode and would not stop so we unplugged it and called for service.  Next available appointment was a week later.  From my first call I expressed my concern about city water going through my brand new hot water heater, fridge, dishwaher and washer.  One week later the tech comes and tells us that because we took the hood off the unit that protects the controls the mother board was ruined and would have to be replaced.  "If I had my own truck I have the part on it, but becouse I don't have my truck we will have to re-schedule the repair".  The cost of the repair even though it is under warranty is $155.00 plus $25.00 shipping (remember if he had his own truck he had the part on it and the repair would have been accomplished first time around).  We informed him that the unit never had a hood and we did not feel that we should pay anything for the repair when the installer had never put the hood on, also two annual maintences had been performed and the hood was never mentioned.  We were told that if we did not pay it they would not fix it.  He left telling us the office would call to re-schedule the repair.  I made three phone calls before I could get in touch leaving a message each time, nobody called us back.  I started to make phone calls trying to find another company that could service the unit only to be told that they cannot get Rainsoft parts we would have to deal with Florida Energy.  February 12th we come home from work and find a bill on our door for $50.00 for missing an appointment for the repair.  Not only did they never schedule with us but two adults were home all day in the house and he never made any attempt to speak to them.  I called and the tech who had been at our house told us he would not charge us the $50.00 but the soonest they could get bak out to us is today 2/20/16 (I live in Daytona and its race weekend, they changed the time of our repair this morning from 1-3 to 3-5 and they have to come up the interstate from Orlando to get to me right at race time).   By the way I tried once again to dispute the $155.00 & $25.00 charges for the warranty repair and shipping fee and he told us the first tech did not know what he was talking about that the missing/never installed hood had nothing to do with the mother board going bad.  Nice to know they have such well trained techs We feel like we are being held hostage by this company, they have bad business practices (not returning calls), employees who contradict each other and rediculous fees that you have to pay or they don't help you.  Not to mention that our annual service revealed no problem with our unit.  BEWARE!!!
