Florida Gunworks - Florida Gun Works - Florida Armory Ripoff! call this # Miami Florida

I just placed an order with FGW and, aparently, transposed my billing and shipping addresses. As has previously been mentioned FGW does not offer its phone number on its site. Trying to contact FGW led me to this site and led me to doing a little research. FGW lists its address as 8306 Mills Dr. #571. A public records search came up with the following info: in 2003, Florida Amory (sic) had the same address and box number as FGW; the phone number for Florida Armory is 305-207-1300; and the contact person is the VP Myrna Taylor. I called the number and the person denied Florida Armory has any affilliation with FGW. This is, of course, rubbish as 305-207-1300 is the contact number associated with charges from FGW.

First, I want to thank this site for saving me from making a horrid mistake. After reading the info on FGW and the possible connection between FGW and Florida Armory I decided to do a little investigating. This information should put to rest the speculation (and disinformation) about the connection between the two companies... Public records are a wonderful thng!!!

Regarding the Florida Gunworks - Florida Armory connection, the VERIFIABLE FACTS are:

Florida Armory, Inc. is a registered Florida Corporation.

Florida Gunworks is an assumed name registered by High Velocity Enterprises, Inc.

High Velocity Enterprises, Inc. is a registered Florida Corporation.

Florida Armory, Inc. is owned by Karl and Myrna Taylor.

High Velocity Enterprises, Inc is owned by Karl and Myrna Taylor

This means Florida Gunworks = High Velosity Enterprises, Inc = Florida Armory.

no phone number, no response to e mail until i filed a rip off report on line, then matt e mailed me, told me he would credit my account its been 2 weeks,what a rip off, no matter what matt says this company is a total rip off, dont order from them.

been trying to get my account credited for itens which were never sent, you e mailed me stating you all were out of town till the 17 of feb. well its mar 1 wheres my credit? and if your such a reputible company, why no phone number? Anyone who even thinks of ordering anything from floridagunworks dont, i have never seen such a rip off. its been 6 mo now and i still havent been taken care of, nor do i expect too. and if they ever make it right i'll post another letter saying so

I started this thread in April of '05 and think it is safe to say that everyone (except FGW) that has contributed to this thread has a clear understanding that FGW is not a desireable company to do business with. I will restate that I did eventually recieve the product that I ordered from them and it was satisfactory. The time it took to recieve it, and the customer service rendered was not satisfactory. The denial of assosciation between the companies is big red flag. I would almost always deny giving my business to any organization that lies to customers about it's business practices. I know who charged my credit card, and I know who I ordered the part from and they are two separate companies. Maybe, FGW just took my credit card number and used it to order my part from another company because they did not have the part in stock. In which case, this would be fraud and FGW would want to deny doing that or even knowing the other company. Bottom line, avoid these people. Don't do business with them. There are hundreds of ligit gun parts dealers out there waiting to give you a positive buying experience.

I was only saying it because I've had many people confuse me with someone else in town had the same first name (it's obviously not common.) and blame me for something they said or did. i lived in a small town at the time.

That's why I had that rebuttal to him.

I do agree if they even if they are 2 rival stores they should know about each other. And for either to try and say that they don't is a lie. (Or they're covering for something.)

One of the telephone numbers that I found has "You have reached Florida GunWorks" on the answering machine, but when you do a search on that same number it is listed to Florida Armory.
Mystery solved....SAME COMPANY. DO NOT GIVE EITHER OF THESE COMpaNIES ANY MONEY!!! If you have, file a dispute with your credit card company now, I don't care if you placed your order 15 minutes ago. They are going to rip you off.

it occured to me that the person responding on behalf of FGW repeatidly states that this website is "fibulous" (is the word not frivilous?) and that the numerous complaints are not legitimate. Yet, he responds to almost every one of them. To me, this seems like one of the only places that people can learn about companies to avoid doing business with. Also, there is not a growing conspiracy surrounding Florida Gunworks. There would not be this many people complaining if there was not a real problem. If you spent as much time responding to this site as you did trying to satisfy your clientel, maybe people would complain less. FGW obviously has a shipping and billing problem and just refuses to fess-up to their issues.

Actually, the AOL connection and close proximity to one another contributes to the idea that they are fibbing about their assosciation with one another. Even if they are not the same company, don't you think they would have at least heard of one another. Being that they are both located so close to one another and in the same business? I think that Florida Gunworks' complete denial of any knowledge of Florida Armory is incriminating. Especially if they have a strong presence at the local gunshows. Hmmmm..and then there the fact that they charged my card when I oredered from Florida Gunworks, yet no knowledge of them, HUH?

Just because both companies use AOL and are within 6 miles of each other does not mean that they are the same company.

By that reasoning if a person who has my same name or one similiar both had AOL accounts and they within 6 miles of me. We must be the same person.

It may be 2 different companies and the one that is a rip-off is trying to cash in on another rival companies good name. (It has happened many times before in the business world.)

When I originally started this complaint, they where in the same office complex. I did recieve my ordered product shortly after making the complaint as well as a few other phone calls. I have no complaints with product whatsoever, but I will strongly stand behind the fact that there is or was an assosciation between these two organizations. I don't know what there reason is to lie about this. I clearly ordered a product from one company and got my card charged by another. I encourage people to verify professional licenses through the Florida Industrial Commissions Court and to remember that this is a sight to gripe your complaints on, not question everyone professional assosciations. I've never heard of florida gun works, or matt.
But i've been a long time customer or FLORIDA ARMORY. I've purchased several firearms/accessories from them, and they have reasonable prices, and quality weapons. A+ they even hold a stand every year at the gun show, great prices.

Fine Matt, maybe your company Florida Gun Works doesn't have any ties to Florida Armory. Florida Gun Works is the company that stole my money, not Florida Armory. If both companies are full of thieves what does it matter if we get the two confused??????

They claim they are noy Florida Armory yet when on on Florida Armory's site the email address"sales@floridagunworks.com was listed!!!! They are the same company!!!!!
