Florida Metropolitain University, Corinthian College, Everest University Misrepresented the job market and ease of employment as well as amount of money made starting off in the field. Claimed that the field was in high demand. Lakeland Florida

I attended FMU from 2006 through 2007. Upon enrollment for Massage Therapy I was informed by the admissions person that the field was in very high demand. I was also informed that upon completion of the course and state license, that I would be making a minimum of $60/hr. As well as, if I excelled, that I would be one of the ones to get a career established with ease. I graduated within the course rcommendations and passed the state board exam. Once I was done, I returned to the school as instructed, presenting my test results. They had me sign a document that said I was not needing any assistance with job placement, told me if I didn't i would not receive my certification.

I followed as instructed, afterall I was expecting to get a job with no trouble and a high paying one at that. When I did look for work in the field after receiving my license, there was nothing with that high a pay rate. Most places that offered Massage would only pay minimum wages. A couple places said that I could rent a room. However, I had to be responsible for my own clients. The cost of the room was upfront and due weekly. I couldn't afford the rates some were $150 a week up to $300. Even with the test scores I could not find a suitable career in the field. Now I have student loans I cannot pay back because I relied on thier statements on enrollment into thier school. I've been struggling with this problem for a long time and only recently learned that I was not the only one who was lied to.
