Florida Technical College Kissimmee Over charged and no response to fix it Kissimmee Florida

i began at FloridaTechnical College in August/2011, they had a baking a nd pastry program which they had an easy schedule for me to keep up with. So the day I went to admissionsi wanted to know if I could afford it. So when when she gave me the grand total it was $18,900. I had to take one loan and my grant covered the rest. So I was very excited and began my classes.  Right after Thanks giving of that year they told us we can add n IPad to our tuition cost and of coarse I was exited about that so I made an appointment. With fianancial aide to make the adjustments. But, I receive my new class schedule only to notice that they had put me as a culinary student and I never applied for culinarI, it was baking and pastry program. So I took it to admissions and she told me that I was culinary, I told her No, it was never culinary, it was baking and pastry, so he told me I had to make the corrections because they would charge me for culinary. But unfortunately my paper work was lost. Wow! How do you loose paper work, so a couple days later I went to check if my problem was taken care of and it appears that they had to redo my paper work and so she  told me I had to go to financial aid. So I went their they took care of everything, I thought they it was done.  a couple of months later we get called to the financial aid and were told that we were getting billed for a missed total ....hmmmm! That don't sound right. And again they put the IPad . I thought this was not right. So I was charged $1900 almost $2000. More. Their excuse was i you grant wasn't covered completely but I wasn't the only one charged more than half of the students were charged as well.  

So I demanded to see my whole tuition total and my total came out to $21028. I thought this wrong but to get back to financial ai. Was always a problem. So Ayer graduation I went to pay the last bill and was told I owe almost $5000. I asked from what? And they couldn't say. Then she may its cause your loan has nt come in yet. But don't worry it will clear. So I left with no worries. Then I get a letter saying I owe $10,700.00 What?  I thought it was man error so I called the school and left a message but as always they never respond.  So I refuse to pay anything until I was explained why was I getting charged  that additional amount of money.

That was in dec 2012 then January after graduation I got many letters and phone calls From Transworld  credit report  Now I'm angry, they were charging me Now $6000. What? So this time I  call my loans I called FASFA to find out what's going on everything was correct. I did not owe anything. But I looked at my paper work of the school and found out they gave me a refund because they had  placed me on a wrong program. And  the orignal copy which they could not find with the complete total. The original total was $18,900. Not $21,028. So I went to the school and I had a nice young lady to help at financial aid and as always they could not find my paper work.

Finally after 20 minutes they find the new paper work. But not they old, I show her my paper work and she says well its because you had to fix your paper work because your old was lost the tuition went up so they assumed that it was the price the was given to me. Also I they overcharged you for some other things, I said I began in August 2011 and your tuition went up after I signed for a total of $18,900.  That is not my problem especially if the school was irresponsible to lose my paper work to begin with. Here I have the original copy and I want it fixed, your school is overcharging me for something they did wrong so I demand it to be fixed. I'm not going to pay another cent more than I have too.  Her boss was not at the office that day so she said she would hand it to her to fix and don't worry it will get fix. Two months later I'm still waiting. I have called and no one returns my calls. I have emailed and was told that she thought it was fixed. And No I'm still getting calls everyday 3 to 4 times a day. If I need to get a lawyer I will. This has happend to many studentsif dont waste your time with school, besides of their negligiance I at financial aid as a school is not worth it. You might have one or two teachers that are awesome. The rest are terrible and students pass if the teacher likes you. so don't come to this school. Very disappointed .
