It all started out harmlessly enough, I went into the school in an attempt to find another job, when I decided to find out what had happened to my degree that I had earned through studying.

I walk into the Registrar office and asked if I may have it only to notice that there was a notice on it that demanded I spoke with the financial group of the school. I began to speak with them only to find that while I had clepted out of 2 classes, the school was never aware that I had in fact taken these classes and marked me as Leave Of Absence.

While on this 'LOA' I was told that there would not be classes for me for the next 2 month's after this. In this period the school continued to try to pull funding from the government and refunded this money, and never made the Sallie Mae group aware of this situation. In the time I came back to the school after my forced leave of absence I went into the front office and found out if I needed to have any forms signed or if I needed to pay anything to come back, I was told that I did not.

Now, I have explained that to bring this, after I graduated and came into the office that day they saw that the school had refunded the money and told me to call the dean the next day, which diligently I did.

The dean at that time explained to me that they were going to be able to modify it and bring me back so that I did not require to pay anything to the school and Sallie Mae should have been able to take care of this, and that he would take care of the situation; Two weeks later I hear in a letter that I owe the school $8,000. I ignored this as the school told me it should have been taken care of as it was an accounting mistake and they said they should have taken care of it, they also said they would mail me my degree.

9 months later I receive a call from a creditor group stating that I owe the school the money that I had been told would be taken care of. I call the school up and attempted to take care of the situation.

The response I got were through a few different people, the first was the registrar a "Sabrina Peirce" whom pretty much immediately explained that she did not understand why I was speaking with the Registrar about this *POST SCHOOL* I was then transferred to the next step up, a one "Kendra Smith" whom is the Financial Aid Director, which I worked through in trying to figure out the situation. Kendra explained to me that the school kept refunding the payments to the Sallie Mae group and as such, the school at that time did not keep track of my account and some how the school lost track of my Sallie Mae loan. I then was told that the school director would attempt to be spoken with, which she did.

3 hours later, I received a call from Kendra whom told me that the problem was still with me that I had known, even though I explained on several levels that the problem has been admitted as a financial problem from the school, not on my end, and that I had never received pre-warning until I pretty much walked in that first day that started this whole thing.

As of today, the School Director, whom I do not know the name of told me that the problem is with me and that the balance that they made the mistake on I now have to pay for. Basically the school corrupted itself to make it as such that if you think you graduated with full success you have worked hard for, then all the sudden rip it away and begin to try to shove creditor's down your throat to hunt you down for immediate cash, I assume that Sallie Mae doesn't pay them enough.

At this point, I just want this done, I just want the problem fully taken care of and not run around in circles like the school has tried thus far. The school needs to admit that there was full fault with them and that they screwed up. If you are debating on going to this college, don't I have had nothing but problems in dealing with this school, from bad teachers to what I can only assume is a fake degree, to being told different things then are true, such as transferring credits *they told me and an ex girlfriend of mine that the credits were FULLY transferable, yet when I tried, I got screwed* This school and the multiple corporations that own it are corrupt to the core, forget this school and go to UCF or a community college.

I spent many many months working with the Dean of the school, we worked through the situation, as it was something to be determined within the company happening to a select group of individuals.

The best advice I can give to anyone and everyone in this situation is: Talk with the dean, just demand to talk with him all you can. He is an understanding individual and will help you try to figure out what is necessary. The issues that I experienced were on a case by case basis because there was a major issue with accounting from years back that I just happened to expose, which isn't bad. Thank you for letting me post my experience and I hope that all that find this find the answers they look for.
