Florida Tourist Bureau - Florida Enterprises ripoff scam falsely advertised dishonest Kissimmee Florida

I purchased my vacation package in May 2004 after calling The Florida Tourist Bureau to get more information about the fax I received. After getting all the info, I SPECIFICALLY asked the rep if I would have to attend any type of sales presentation to get the "4 or 5 star hotel" offered. She EMPHATICALLY stated no sales presentation was required.

When I sent received the vacation package it was not the package agreed to on the phone. After numerous phone calls, voice messages, etc., I finally talked to someone who agreed to the package originally purchased and scheduled the vacation for September 2004.

Due to the hurricane, I called September 7, spoke to Brandi to cancel the trip. She indicated she would record my request and I could reschedule.

I began calling in February 2005 to try to reschedule. After leaving numerous messages every day for two weeks at both the Florida Tourist Bureau and Florida Enterprises with no response, I filed a complaint with Florida Consumer Services. FTB contacted me then and agreed to refund my money, if I agreed to return the vacation package. I returned the package only to get a letter a few days later indicating she "changed her mind" and I would be able to take the vacation.

With no choice but to accept her offer, which after conversation, she agreed to the original package as stated above, I received another vacation package in the mail (August 2005).... THE WRONG ONE. I've since been trying to contact them without success. No one EVER answers the phone. No one EVER returns my phone calls. I finally got through on March 22, 2006 and spoke to Leonette. I explained the situation and said I would like a refund. She said I'd have to speak to the manager, who, of course, was in a meeting. I left my name and 3 phone numbers to contact me ........... I'm still waiting for a phone call.

It's a shame that companies can get away with this kind of thing.

But I haven't given up yet. I will continue to call, leave messages, send faxes, whatever I can until someone responds and I get my refund!!!
