 I suggest that if you are contemplating if this complaint has credence that you analyze it in its totality. First is the venomous tone, the number of accusations unrelated to one another a scattershot if you will. Consider the threats, the placing of newspaper ads of complaint and reporting of the accusations to the state attorney general.  The statement “We are a group of rescuers” infers she is in a position of authority leading one to assume a professional.

This complaint shows no professionalism in fact nothing that would aloud anyone to conclude this is a valid complaint. Anyone’s careful analysis can lead to only one conclusion. This is a blatant personal attack an attempt to smear and discredit Cherie and her labor of love. Her purpose, to inflict personal distress and pain on Cherie.

All of her accusations are so easily debunked I see no need for further defense of Cherie with a testimonial.

My I suggest that all of us who love Cherie and believe in her and her labor of love take pity and forgive this poor soul. Do not give her any more of what she wants. She has already taken a piece of all of us.

 Unbelievable lies. I volunteered for the Luv of Paws and worked directly with Cherie DaLynn for over a year. The only reason I stopped was because my employment  changed.  I also adopted two wonderful dogs from her organization. I adopted the first one and decided to get one of her siblings several months later.  They love each other and play all day. When we adopted them they had been spayed and neutered respectively. They also  had all their shots and were in good health. The agreement made us promise to take care of them and if we did not want them any longer, she told us she would take them back. She stated that she did not want us to take them to a kill shelter, she wanted them back to find them another home.  Have you ever adopted a pet  where the owner says they will take it back if you no longer want it and find them a new home?   Does this sound like someone who takes money and kills the animals? Of course not!  Also included in the agreement was a free first visit to the vet to make sure they were healthy. If they were not, we were to call her. These were just two of the reasons why I have the utmost respect for her and know she does not do this for the money. She deeply loves these animals!  Her passion and energy to save the unwanted animals in this city impresses me deeply. These accusations are totally unfounded!!!

I am a volunteer at For the Luv of Paws and have been helping Cherie for almost 3 years.  I am at the sanctuary 1 or more days a week.  This Ripoff article about 'For the Luv of Paws' is absolutely bizarre  and just off the wall!  If anyone who knows Cherie, and how much she cares for her animals, would see this article,  they would be just blown away that anyone would stoop so low as to spread such a lie as they did in this article. This article is so far from the truth it makes me feel just sick. 

I can't imagine how Cherie feels.  For the Luv of Paws is an incredible facility.  The animals are extremely happy and are well cared for.  There has not been one animal that has left Cherie's facility in the time I have worked at this sanctuary, that has gone to any dog pound to be killed.  Cherie works harder than anyone I know.  I know I could not do what she does to make sure all the animals are safe and happy.  I was at this facility when the County made their visit/inspection last year, and they were impressed with the condition of the Sanctuary. Anyone could check with them as proof of my statement.

Cherie follows the rules set by the County where there are others in the area that do not.  Cherie does not slam, or cut down other sanctuaries as others do.  I have cried with her several times when one of her animals passes away.  She will stay up all night with an ill animal.  If anyone lives in the Oatman/Golden Valley/ Kingman, Arizona area, they should make a trip to this Animal Rescue and see for themselves how well run and caring a facility For the Luv of Paws is.  

To the person that wrote the original article, 'Shame on You'!  You know everything you said is untrue.

I am responking to the falsehoods experssed by the person who put together the scathing words directed toward Cherie DaLynn, owner and founder of For the Luv of Paws. First of all, who are you?  if you have a real problem with how the way animals are being treated, then step up, tell everyone your name.  Your unfounded depiction of For the Luv of Paws and your slanderous remarks concerning its owner, are despicable as I am sure you are as well.

I have never known of a shelter/rescue that is more open to animals, more loving toward animals, more willing to go the extra mile for animals, and that has a more staunch conviction that no animal will be killed.  How dare you, sir or maam accuse this shelter and its owner of such horrific acts.  

Second, I don't think you talked to anyone, and more importantly, anyone you might talk to that knows anything about For the Luv of Paws would see you for what you are--a simple liar--period.  I think your statements were fabricated in your own little mind.  If I'm wrong, step up and tell me and everyone else.  That's what I thought--you can't, because not only are you a coward and a liar, but you have no facts to back up your statements.  

Like I said before, if you do, then step up. Don't spew lies and then hide.  I'm calling you out!  So, put up or shut up.  Also, when you don't respond because you have no facts to back up your lies, the rest of us will just consider that an apology. 

 I guess I could be considered an employee with inside information, but this as this is a non-proft organization, there are no employees; it's powered solely by volunteers.

This report is absolutely untrue.  Anyone could write a false report here with no consequences.  What does 'is known' mean? Known by whom? It's the first time I've seen this website, and I'm astounded that it exists.  Anyone could say anything about anybody anonymously and get away with it. 

A rescue/sanctuary as highly regarded as For the Luv of Paws (FLP) is in Mohave County by the Humane Society, the Sheriff's Office/Animal Control, the County Planning and Zoning Commission, Mohave County Environmental Health, and the Mohave County Board of Supervisors would certainly be exposed by now if anything said was true.  In fact, the Planning and Zoning Commission grants permits to this type of organization for two-year periods.  It was suggested to the owner of FLP by an employee of the Planning and Zoning Department that she request a three-year permit from the Board of Supervisors as her track record is excellent.  She did, and it was granted.  This has never happened before in Mohave County.  FLP is widely regarded as the premier rescue/sanctuary in the County. 

This rescue maintains accurate records of all intakes and adoptions for anyone to view.  FLP maintains itself as an IRS charity and, therefore, has to report to the IRS.  There are other rescues/sanctuaries in the County who are also diligent.  I suspect this report may have been fabricated by a jealous person in another organizaton that is not as transparent.  Go ahead and report to the State Attorney General.  That will give FLP yet another avenue to demonstrate what an excellent organization it is.  Will the person who wrote this fictitious report then retract it?

This is in reference to the complaint made about Cherie DaLynn and For the Luv of Paws.  My wife and I have personally went to FLP and adopted a pet 3 1/2 years ago.  Since then we have returned with our dog for visits and to donate different supplies to FLP.

At no time have we seen ANYTHING that would be construed as abusive, out of line, or  suspicious from our perspective.  We would be SHOCKED to our toes if one word of this complaint were true.

We will continue to support Cherie and For the Luv of Paws, as we believe they are doing a world of good for the homeless pets that are in need of a home.

 I am a volunteer who has worked with For The Luv of Paws for several years.  I have worked closely with Cherie on many occasions and can tell you without question that she is not unstable, she cares about each of the animals in her care, and she does all that she can to ensure that the animals are safe, happy and provided for in the best possible ways.

Anyone who doubts her commitment to these animals should go to the PAWS financial reports and check out the veterinary bills that are incurred on behalf of the animals.  Also check with the Mohave County Board of Superisors who inspect her facility and have never issued a complaint against her.  In fact, they renewed her license to operate with high praises just recently.

Sadly our local "humane" society does euthanize thousands of animals each year.  Cherie has been active in collaborating with NO KILL shelters in the area to provice homes for animals that would otherwise be killed, animals that cannot be placed thru PAWS are NEVER transferred to our local shelter. 

Perhaps people in California should travel to Kingman Arizona and investigate what they "hear" before trying to destroy the reputation of a woman who gives her all to help thousands of animals.  The victims in this case will be the animals that Cherie cannot help because someone read a false report and decided to donate their money to another cause. 

I am a retired journalist, but still occasionally dabble in taking photos and writing about subjects. I support For The Luv Of Paws, have donated money and food for their facility and have supported her photographically and journalistically. This is a total fabrication by someone attempting to discredit Cherie and For The Luv Of Paws. As far as I’m concerned, For The Luv Of Paws is the premier facility in Mohave County and other facilities are not happy with Cherie’s success of adopting out animals.

I am one of the people who support her facility and she has never taken dogs to the pound to be killed. It is the opposite; she goes to the pounds and picks up dogs she believes she can adopted out to a loving family. Whomever the person who filed the complaint is flat out lying. I personally know Erin who operates the Humane Society in Kingman, and she is fully aware that Cherie operates a very honest and good animal no-kill animal sanctuary.  

I have been a volunteer ( not paid so not an employee ) since the Luv of Paws was started. This is all a lie. FLP is considered the number one rescue in Mohave county. Other rescues get mad as the county wants them to be like her. She is a no kill rescue. The only animals she has put down are because they are in much pain and the vets can not help them. Her large vet bills show that she does every thing she can to keep them healthy.

FLP is a very well run and beautiful place. Every Sunday or by appointment the rest of the week you can go see for your self. Unlike the other rescues she has an open house every year.  Yes the animals are in pens so they are not running loose as all rescues do. The dogs have a large play area they they get to play in twice a day. I say before you make accusations you should come see for your self instead of listening to people who never have been there. A real shame that this report was based on hearsay.

Wow, the person who filed the report in the first place is so misinformed.  I have known the Luv of Paws organization and Cheri DaLynn in a professional manner for some time.  She not only does not send her animals to the shelter, she is the most amazing person I have ever met.  The animals are her life.  Her sanctuary is clean, well run and well cared for.  EVERY animal, be it a cat, or dog, rabbit, or lizzard, is taken care of well beyond what any other sanctuary or rescue does in this area.  

Cheri may not be the most politically correct, or socially acceptable person you might run into, but I can guarantee you that the animals she rescues are a top priority to her.  Nothing and no one will stand in her way to protect and take care of her "children".   It is a shame that the other organizations in this are do not care for their animals the way that Luv of Paws does.  Take a trip out to the sanctuary any time and you will see that I am telling you the truth.  The other small minded, cruel, misinformed individuals in this area and California do not know what they are talking about. Cheri is not about profit, she isn not about breeding and selling the animals.

 Cheri and the Luv of Paws organization are only about the rescue of animals. In closing, I would like to say that the original author of the complaint, needs to do their research before maligning a company or individual.  Once again, I DARE you to take a visit out to the sanctuary. I dare you to do your research.   You absolutely need to do this research before you start publishing other articles or statements.  She is not dumping her rescues.  She is not killing her rescues.  She has apparently pissed someone off and this is the action that is taken.  Luv of Paws is the most well run, clean and human rescue I have ever seen or had the privledge of working with.
