my car was totalled in an accident, asked foremost towing to tow, they did and asked me for a check to hold for 75.00, once insurance company agreed to pay, he would mail my check back to me. traveler's insurance called foremost towing and agreed to pay my bill.
Foremost towing called me to tell that and, to tell me he was mailing my check back to me. never mailed instead, he encountered a problem with traveler's and just cashed my check. and believes i am to collect the money for Foremost. i call the local police, they tell the same thing. it is my job to get traveler's to pay foremost towing.

It is indeed your responsibility to get reimbursed from your insurance company for any payment needed. It is standard procedure that YOU pay the bill and get reimbursed from your insurance company. If you want to get anything out of the vehicle you need to pay. Unless the car is totaled, in which case the insurance company will come to us.
