Forestmere Homeowners Association Shady practices Florida

I have owned in Bonita Preserve for 6 1/2 years and in that time, we have been repeatedly targeted and harrassed by this HOA.

Jim Schmidt who was the former president and now treasurer is nothing but a troublemaker who drives drunk down Forestmere where there are children out and about and he also allows his greyhound and smaller dog to defecate on other people's property and NEVER picks it up, yet reminders used to be sent out about this. "above the law" applies here most definitely.

There are people in this HOA who unlawfully come onto properties, touch things that do not belong to them and have been seen looking into wondows when owners are not home. They also target specific owners and send around petitions on a regular basis.

We have not received a budget in appx 2 years and when we have received the budgets, they have been OBVIOUSLY fabricated. For instance there was a lot of money allocated to "Lake maintenance" well let me tell you that I live on the lake and have NEVER seen any maintenance of ANY KIND taking place. The lake is filthy, polluted and filled with garbage. Nothing has ever been done to the lake since I have owned here.

There was also money allocated to common area maintenance....the common areas look like crap usually with grass knee high and trash all over. it is RARE that you see someone mowing.

My husband parks his truck (work truck) in the driveway and he has magnets to cover the logo/advertising. If he simply pulls up and runs in without putting the magnets on, a few days later we receive a violation in the mail.

People who have boats and RV's are repeatedly targeted, but they have NOWHERE else to put them since we have no community storage areas.

This community is not gated, we have no community recreation, no cable, water or landscaping included in our dues, so I'd like to know exactly what we are paying for and why since the community looks terrible.

Meeting notices are never posted as required by law.

I'm actually seeking legal counsel to assist with these matters. People who own their homes should NOT be targeted by a bunch of power hungry men with too much time on their hands.
