When I was a junior in High School my parents thought that it would be very helpful for me to attend a military school in the area.  FUMA seemed like a great place with many thing to do and a lot of people to enjoy the pre military life.  After enrollment FUMA didn't seem like a very bad place, my grades were improving and life at FUMA wasn't to bad.  However, after being in FUMA for about 3-4 months things changed.  At FUMA cadets are given rank, usually these cadets have parent that donated a lot of money to the school, for example the parents who donated money for the Frayley circle, their kid was a total power hungry kid that did nothing with his atthority but stick other cadets.  If some rich kid has an officer rank and doesn't like you because of whatever reason, he can stick you.  At FUMA you are aloud to receive 15 demerits a month before they can make you walk tours.  Each demerit after 15 you must walk 45mins to cover 1 single tour.  So if a punk Cadet decides to stick you because subordination to an officer, maybe he thought you looked at him funny or heard you were talking about him start walking because you are about to receive your 25 demerits.  And the TAC officer that approves or disapproves the demerits usually will hear your side of the story and tell you that you should be wiser about your actions and be prepared to walk.  The school in no way is worth sending your child to that school for $$$$$30,000$$$$$ a year.  And Conal Ivans if you are reading this you should be ashamed for letting this school be so corrupt with the chain of command that you can just sit there and watch this go by.  The education received is also BS because they are supposed to get you ready for college but how does having 1 subject for a month prepare you for college.  In college you have 6 subjects a day, if this system proved effective why are the schools that are actually ran by the government ran this way.  Look at the SAT scores, in Fairfax county the adverage SAT high school scores are way higher that FUMA's.  You're better off sending your kid to flint hill.  FUMA is nothing more than a fraud, a scam that has been working for years.  If you are a parent considering to send your child to this school think about it.  FUMA knows that their target audience are parents who gross over 200k a year and want the best education/disipline for their son.  They know that you can afford this and are willing to spend 30 grand a year because every other method you tried failed.  Or you feel that you need professional assistance.  Also if you steal you are automatically kicked out, you poke a kids eye out from messing around you get stuck, how does that make sense.  Even a kid that was in middle school, named Sidwell, the grandson of the staff member there got kicked out for a year because he stole a pen.  The system of FUMA doesn't make sense.  Also FUMA is a place were a lot of guys go because they did some really bad things.  Come on a military school is where courts and parents send punk kids.  If you send your kid there no matter how much supervision goes on don't you think that one day or another your kid is going to learn the same bad things as them.  Its a jail, its like sending your kid to a juvenile detention center and they put a military uniform on him, your kid is bound to learn some things that you will soon see and regret.  Well I am only one person but I am sure others will soon post their experiences. Shame on you FUMA, Shame on Col IVANS, Shame on CAPT HUFF, Shame on the whole staff.  You say that the school is founded on christian values, yeah right, your school is nothing more than a scam and a fraud, taking peoples money for years, FUMA is the most GOD forsaken place I have ever seen or experience.  SHAME on all the staff especially you "pastor" Jones, director of the summer program, calling yourself a man of GOD and proved to be nothing more that a puppet of col IVANS.
