Fortune 500 ,Halifax Financial Services, LOWE'S I received a check for 2,990.00 and was to call Cathy Wright at the number listed. she would then release the funds of 70,000. Halifax Nova Scotia

I received a check for 2,990.00. I was supposed to call this Cathy Wright to have the check taken off hold. Their will be a processing fee of 2,890.00 that they will want me to transfer to their account. I would then get the rest of the 70,000.00 released to me. I caught on right away and did not try to cash the check. before I realized what was going on, I did try to call this Cathy person and of course got a voicemail. Left a message and never received a call back. Thinking this was too good to be true, I started looking on the internet and lo and behold here it is in black and white.

I want others to know that this is a rip off. I am going ot my personal bank with this information and they said they can contact the bank (Wachovia) and find out what's going on. The check is from LOWE'S PO BOX 1111 North Wilkesboro, NC 28656. check 8023437. routing number 053101561 acct 2079985166331
