I needed to buy some goods from a company that do not ship to my country so I decided to use a UK forwarding company. When the goods arrived, the cost of forwarding was twice the original estimate. Therefore, I asked for the goods to be shipped to a UK address.
When the time to pay arrived, the company said that I can only pay in two ways, bank transfer or bitcoin. This is despite the fact that the information provided stated that I can pay with a credit/debt card or PayPal. They claim that it is for their protection against but they admit it was their fault for not informing me prior to using the service.
None of those options offer me any protection against fraud from their own end. I have asked that they hold up to their terms and conditions but they have refused. Even worse, I have missed the deadline for the delivery of the goods.

I contacted the MD of the company through LinkedIn and after reviewing the case, he mailed my items to the UK address for free.
It was a good reesolution at the end.
