Fossil Rim Wildlife Ranch HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE Glen Rose Texas

I am actually sitting in a long line writing this complaint. It is spring break so you would think the park would prepare for the large crowds. The traffic is horrid. The animals obivously fed because NONE are i site. When we rech the half way point there were NO restrooms only 3 port a potties.  It took us almost 3 hours to get to the half way point. If we would have been informed of the animals and no bathrooms we would have NEVER wasted 70.00 on this disappointment!!! 

Thank you "someone who knows" for taking the time to shed some intelligence on the purpose of Fossil Rim. I have visited the conservation center and cannot speak enough of how impressed our car load was of the facility. Please keep up the good work, and thank you again for letting the public know that the facility is not there for visitors to feel satisfied that they have gained a good bargain by visiting. It is not about entertainment or ensuring visitors are getting their dollar's worth. It is about awareness and is about the animals who LIVE there, not the animals who VISIT intending on being "served". God bless all of you volunteers....and thank you for your focus on the purpose of the facility. Keep up the great work!

Fossil Rim is not a zoo. It is not an amusement or theme park. It is a wildlife conservation project that protects the endangered lives of wildlife from all around the world and has received worldwide attention and accolades for its conservation efforts.

The endangered animals are not there for your amusement. They are there to bring attention to the fact that rhinos are poached in Africa, that the cheetah population is dwindling, and I would bet you have no idea what an Atwater Prairie Chicken is -- but Fossil Rim has the largest population in the world and has an ultimate goal of restoring this endangered animal back into the wild.

The animals at Fossil Rim are on a very strict feeding schedule. They don't subsist on the handouts out of the windshield of your car. That is rather there for your enjoyment, not theirs.

I would also bet that you get paid a hell of a lot more than the Fossil Rim staff who consist mostly of docents and other volunteers -- but who take their mission of conservation seriously.

If you want to go to a zoo and see caged animals who are always in sight, yet miserable. Who do not have a voice of their own. Go right ahead. If you want to support an organization that supports worldwide conservation and the preservation of our planet, I would suggest that you support Fossil Rim and other organizations who are truly doing God's work on this planet.

I will defend this organization for whom I and my husband have tirelessly volunteered until the day I die.
