FotoConnection.com is a rip-off scam artist company. I purchased a Nikon D50 (Camera Only) online. After talking with the "customer service" dept. to ensure my item was in stock & would ship, they offered me insurance at a "discount". I accepted (That was a mistake).
Upon receiving my camera, I realized I had been OVERCHARGED for items that I did not agree to. They up-sold my purchase to a Camera KIT and charged me for things that normally come with the camera (standard)- the battery & charger.
I contacted customer service to complain, they said that I had agreed to it and told me that the only way to fix the problem was to ship the merchandise back at a cost of $118 (restocking fee) to me + whatever shipping I would have to pay on top of that!
The overcharge was only for $50. I couldn't believe that they wouldn't work with me on my refund. They suck! It's not the money that's got me angry, it's the point! Only after my encounter did I do an internet search to see what other people had to say. Oh my God! Apparently, I'm not the only one. This company should be sued in a class-action lawsuit and all previous customers should be notified & all complaints should be handled accordingly.
I've NEVER written a complaint against a company until NOW! I will continue to warn others as I find internet sites that take complaints.
This company does BAD business practices. They Lie & Steal & after arguing with customer service, I think they enjoy it.
Final words: THEY SUCK! Buyer Beware!
