Frank Mata Essenciality Rentals Charles Bacichett Illegaly rents out stolen units without checking background or paperwork for them. Puerto Vallarta Jalisco Mexico

My wife and I rented 1 condo for 3 weeks for $1800 USD  in Acqua Flamingos Nuevo Vallarta, when we arrived the unit was a mess, no towels, no sheets, no air conditioning, filthy cupboards and washrooms. 

After 3 days somebody showed up with the police alleging they were the legal owner of the unit, they

showed their title and said that he never autorized anybody to rent the unit. We were immidiately escorted off the property which was very disgracing and shameful. As we were not able to reach Frank Mata we had to book a hotel. When finally got a hold of Frank Mata he told us that somebody named Charles Bacichett was the person who authorized him to rent the unit, and claimed to be the owner of the unit. That was not our problem and we had to pay for it. We had a huge argument with Frank because he did not want to give us a refund even though we only stayed there for 3 days. He said it was not his fault that somebody lied to him about owning the condo even though it was his responsibility to check. He ended up threatening us and telling me that if we ever tried to contact him again "bad things" would happen to us, and he went as far as saying "this is Mexico, watch your back". We decided that for our safety it was best we let it go and ended our vacation early.

The absolute conclusion we have come to is that Mr. Bacichett and Mata work together to rent out units that seem "abandoned" even though they are not authorized to. Bacichett as the self-elected president or dictator of the Homeowner Assosiacion of the complex, steals and lives in the Acqua Flamingos development and threatenes the other homeowners that he can make them lose their properties as the development has already large legal problems.
