In early february, 2010, the above individual Freddie Davis sold me a 1977 Dodge ambulance on the pretext that he would repair said ambulance in a short amount of time and make it roadworthy as part of the cost.

What followed was 8 months of constant procrastinations.  He had initially said it would be done by March, then by April, then by May, and so on.  Whenever he said he would perform some part of the repairs and the date he claimed he planned to do it had lapsed, he would have some excuse.

One of his frequent excuses is not having money, despite the fact that some months after I made the last payment on the ambulance he bought a classic Rolls Royce sedan.

He also did not disclose to me at the time of sale that he was not a mechanic; he offered to do the repairs as part of the terms of sale (stated on the bill of sale) and only after payment was complete did he disclose that he is not a mechanic.
. [continued below]....
Many of his repairs have been slipshod and of questionable safety.  I have more than once seen his work and asked him to fix obvious problems with it.

At one point recently, he claimed that while out trying to get the title processed, he had been involved in a car accident in which a woman was pinned to his friend's car.  I have not, to date, found any record of this accident and suspect he is lying.

More recently, he subjected me to a referral to yet another incompetent individual who charged me $45 to help process the title from the original military surplus paperwork (I will file a report on this person too).  Just moments ago I got word that because she had attempted to defraud the DMV by crossing out the original buyer's name on the GSA paperwork, the title is now in suspense.

I am tired of his constant procrastinations, questionable repairs, and constant referrals to incompetent cronies.

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company

AUTHOR: fg davis realty - ()

i do not use a computer. a friend recently showed me the rip-off report filed by mr. justin hendon regarding the 1977 dodge ambulance i sold him in 2010.

i have an email address and have access to a computer at the north little rock public library. i was born and raised on a farm in bono, arkansas, craighead county. i served in the us army in the 9th infantry in viet nam,was wounded in action and my left foot was amputated in 1967.

i graduated from orange coast junior college in costa mesa, california in 1971. i traveled throughout europe in 1971 and lived in nairobi, kenyafor two and half years. i returned to arkansas in 1976 and in 1982 recieved my real estate broker's license and began my company,f.g.davis realty.

ihave sold alot of real estate and enjoy helping people. i sell mostly acreage or land and commercial properties. i can provide a lot of references,if requested.  the last five years has been slow and i have been financially strapped, but i am not a rip-off or dishonest person.

i am very embarrassed and upset that the whole world has seen mr. herndon's negative report about me. i gave him alot of extra stuff at no cost and helped him with his car when it  had broken and undriveable.  i am sending you the reply that was

sent to ms. toni robinson at the arkansas attorney general's office, consumer protection division in little rock, arkansas. please contact her immediately upon recieving this and verify the reply that i made to mr. herndon's complaint. i request and ask you to remove this rip-off report about me and fg davis realty. the following is my reply to ms. robinson in 2010.

 october 16,2010,toni robinson,investigator,consumer protection division,the attorney general,state of arkansas,323 center street,suite 1100,little rock,arkansas,72201.re:consumer complaints--84539,mr. justin k herndon,1977 dodge ambulance

to whom it may concern, the day i met mr. herndon when he stopped by to see the 1977 dodge ambulance,i told him:1. that it had been sitting since 1996 when it was sold at a gsa auction. 2. i had not driven it except to park it,but the man that drove it from prothro junction, said that the transmission and brakes worked well. a man was going to buy it

had installed a new fuel pump and master cylinder. 3. i had not processed a title for the vehicle....,i showed mr. herndon all the paperwork from the gsa auction and showed him the gsa catalog, reflecting #94 as the vehicle,so he could verify the vin number.  4.i told mr. herndon the vehicle needed repairs to the lights(electrical short),windshield wipers, battery

, and fuel tank line unstopped and exhaust leak at the manifold. i explained that the vehicle had manual steering and is difficult to drive and turn because it is heavy. i gave him a used power steering pump and used steering sector that accomodates power steering so that he could get it changed and have power steering.  i agreed to repair the four items

and provide a new heavy duty battery, if he bought the vehicle. other than the items i agreed to repair, the vehicle is sold " as is  " condition. i took mr. herndon for a short drive in the snow in 4 wheel drive.  he agreed to  buy it for $1200,paid $300 per month. the repairs that were done on the ambulance are as follows: i removed the gas tank, took

it to a car wash to clean any trash out of it. after an externsive search with auto parts stores and salvage yards, i finally located a new sending unit at o'reilly auto parts and had the mounting bracket adapted so it would work. mr. herndon looked on line and was unable to locate a fuel sending unit. mr. herndon was present when i removed the gas tank and

took it to the car wash to be cleaned, i had to use a grinder to remove two bolts that held the fuel tank straps. i installed the clean gas tank, new fuel sending unit and new fuel line, working from ll am until 8 pm with mr. herndon present the entire time. it works fine now. i installed new windshield wiper grommets and another wiper motor and

repaired the windshield wipers. i purchased  a new heavy duty battery at interstate battery. mr. herndon went with me and has the receipt for warranty purposes. i gave mr. herndon four large military style wheels and tires, two fuel can holders that mount on the back of the vehicle, a new water pump and a four way lug wrench , without cost.  mr.

herndon's 1995 corsica threw a spark plug one night at bryant, arkansas.  he called me for help.  i took my 17 foot car hauler trailer and picked up his car and brought it back to sherwood, arkansas.  i called several mechanics, machine shops, and russell chevrolet on his behalf to help get his car repaired.  i hauled his car to  c & a auto service in scott,

arkansas.  and, charlie( the owner) repaired his car for $100.  mr. herndon gave me $20 for gasoline for hauling his car to the reapir shop.  i also flushed the radiator and installed new antifreeze in the vehicle. i removed the four tires and wheels and took them with mr. herndon to fleet tire service on east broadway in north little rock so he could replace the

four tires, all of this without cost to mr. herndon.  i am repairing the rear lights, turn signals, and backup lights this weekend.  since the vehicle had never been titled since the 1996 gsa auction and the seller has moved out of state, the motor vehicle department told me that i would have to get a used car dealer to use a tima 1 form to obtain a title.

after several  promises by two dealers who later refused to process the paperwork,  melvin shirley with mccain rv sales in  north little rock agreed to do it, but said he uses  irene pruitt in searcy, arkansas to process all of his titles. mr. herndon gave her $45,ms. pruitt later informed me she had crossed out roger oberham's name on the gsa paperwork and wrote

mccain rv sales to process the title.  the motor vehicle department in little rock did not process the title and the paperwork is currently being held in the suspense department in little rock.  she told me i would have to get a bonded title. i contacted the arkansas state police to get the vin number verified.  mr. phillip jones came by thursday, october l4,

2010 and inspected the vehicle. he told me i should get an antique title since i only have to have a bill of sale to process a title. friday, i called the sherwood office of motor vehicle department and they confirmed that.  if mr. herndon will accept an antique title and licenmse we can process this monday or tuesday.  when the title is issued, mr. herndon can

drive the vehicle to arkansas  performance exhaust on east kiehl in sherwood and i will pay to repair the exhaust leak only.  i did not agree to install a new exhaust system.  i have spent a considerable amount of time with mr. herndon and i  admit the title should have been processed.  but it appears mr. herndon has no mechanical abilities.  this vehicle is 33

years old. if he has any future problems with it, i don't want to hear about it.  in the future any old vehicles i sell will be sold strictly " as is " condition.  i am a real estate broker who loves old cars, truck and tractors. i am not  a mechanic. and  i never told mr. herndon that i was a mechanic. i wish him good luck with his life and the 1977 dodge amabulance.

if you have any further questions or comments, please contact me. freddie g. davis
