#1 Consumer Suggestion
Scam

These free lotto emails are a scam. They say you won such and such money from a lottery ran in a foreign country and you need to respond ASAP and with some information.
(I usually have fun with these emails and respond anyways pretending the be in unintelligent boob and see what types of responses I'd get. I'd type paragraph long responses and only get 1-2 sentences back saying to once again just submit my information/confirmation. I've also found that they only send you an email back once and if you ask further questions via replying to their email you won't get anymore replies. Which proves it's a scam cause of it's legit they would wanna work with you to get what you won but in this case they rather only work with people they know they can get money from fast.)
After the confirmation and information process they'll ask you for a bank account number to send your won monies too. The thing is that they then take your bank account number and remove various sums of money from it.
One has to be suspect of a company asking for a bank account number to reward prizes.
Another tip off that most of these email's are frauds is that they source a website as part of the "proof" of such an online free lottery that you supposedly won but what do they email you from???? a hotmail email addy. Nothing looks more proffessional then someone trying to act legit with their website when they are using a hotmail addy (
