FreedomPop Not very reliable even in the best coverage areas Los Angeles California
I got this device to only use at home. I live in an urban area, and according to their coverage map, I should have one of the best coverages. First I started with the free 500MB plan to test it out for two months and it worked great. However, when I switched to a paid plan is when the nightmare began. The connection would not work for days at a time. The billing was also off every other month. I made numerous calls to customer service to fix many billing glitches. They did fix them repeatedly but that was a pain. In the end I decided to return the device.
My agreement allowed me to return my device, within a year of purchase, and get a full refund for it ($100). I sent it to them in perfect working condition at the beginning of May, insured and in its original packaging. They received the device May 11th and I still have not received a refund a month later. Calling them on the phone is now out of the question, as they do not answer their phone. So, any request needs to be done through e-mail. I have e-mailed back and forth with three different customer representatives (Michelle, Ryan, Robert) and still no refund.
