Freeservers.com UOL Mysite Used to be a good company... Woodland Hills, California

Plus:  I have used this company for almost 10 years as of 2012 and they used to be good with service. It was easy to build a website with their control panel and the templates. Customer service used to be US based.  

Minus: They outsourced and moved the customer service or lack thereof to India? (I suppose) and they lie to you and say they will do something and never do it. I can not get then to cancel services and they continue to bill you. India says to use the control panel to cancel. The control panel says to call customer service (India) to cancel service and billing. The only way to cancel payment is to close out the credit card you give them via the control panel billing.

I tried to move my web service to another hosting company and we send the requests via the email address on file with the whois file associated with the website. They, Freeservers, refuse to allow me to transfer away from them and keep billing me for nothing. They will not cancel the services once they get your credit card number. The only way to cancel payment is to close out the credit card.

If you want to use them for a personal site that is not important and need something easy to build, then they are OK.

If you need a business account - go use a professional company and avoid Freeservers - UOL Mysite.
