Fresh Start Lenox Capital - Freedom Resources 0% Mastercard offer, telephone solicitors consumer fraud ripoff tricked and lied to us Northern Georgia

A "Fresh Start" telephone solicitor called our home in the middle of the day (10/15/2002). One of my children actually answered the phone and since I don't like to talk to phone solicitors I had them ask who it was. The female gave her first name like it was somebody I knew - so I took the call to then find out it was indeed a solicitor from Fresh Start offering me a 0% Mastercard with no annual fee. I listened to her spiel of all the other freebies I would receive and then started giving her info as she asked for it. She then asked for my bank name and account number. I'm thinking for some strange reason that she needs this info to qualify me for something. Anyway I foolishly gave her the info and then she mentioned $221.95 - I had just paid my bills so I told her no, I couldn't do this, I didn't have that kind of money. She continued to try to talk me into it, and I eventually said "No thank-you." and hung up on her. She called me back for the next three days - my children just kept saying I wasn't home. Then I answered the phone 9:00 a.m. on 10/18 and it was her. I let her talk me into it but told her I would not have the money until the 1st of November. When her supervisor came on to verify, he requested payment before 11/1, I said no. I was told I would be receiving an info pack in the mail with my new card, outlining all my free offers.
Time passed, I did not receive a packet - so I thought I wouldn't get it until after the 1st when it was paid for. The money wasn't withdrawn from my account until 11/14/02, and it has now been more than 2 weeks since then, still no packet. So, I go online to look for Lenox Capital or Fresh Start Mastercard, and all I find for them are these Rip-off reports. All of which have the same phone number that I was given, and several that say that this phone number that I have is no good. I was going to call them in the morning with the tracking number I was given, but instead I will be going to my bank to see what I can do about having been ripped off. Hence forth, "NO" is going to be my answer for all these unsolicited phone calls.
