FRY'S ELECTRONICS ripoff False advertisement and covering it up! Arlington Texas

About 3 months ago a friend of mine drove about 20 miles out of his way to go the Fry's Electronics store to buy a $7.00 copy of the computer game Diablo II. It was in the paper advertised for this amount, and i asked him to pick up a copy for me as well. This friend shows up to the store to buy the two games and gets to checkout and was told that the games were full price 49.99. He pulled out his advertisement to show them that they were
priced for 7.99 and the employee took it to a manager to make a decision on what to do.

The manager came back, refused to sale the games at 7.99, then proceeded to tell him that the advertisement in the paper was for the "JEWELCASES ONLY??"

My friend asked where the jewel cases where and they said that they didnt have any?? While this conversation was going on someone actually posted a sign saying that this adertisement for the game was incorrect.. The actually posted something showing that the ad was not correct???

My friend brought this up to the manager that told him that the price was for the jewel cases,and he refused to respond to the questions..

My friend came back empty handed and told me the story, i was so upset about it that i pulled up the Fry's website and found a number for the President of the company.. You couldnt actually spk with him, but you could request that he call you back. I requested that he call me, and never heard anything back.

Again, this is a small problem, and overall Fry's is a great place to buy electronics, but the manager at that specific store must be a moron!
