Subject: Likom scams consumers
Thank you for posting my report on the Likom scam. I also appreciate your fairness by having your editor write a statement that Fry's is not responsible for this situation and is trying to help their customers get the rebates.
I was at Fry's today and was told by customer service that the president of their company is now involved in dealing with Likom about this situation and promises that something will be done.
Keep up the good work you're doing and I am definately going to inform my friends about your great web site!

Those products you sell with the promised REBATE OFFER. Are those so-called terms and conditions that are usually violated, where you get away with not reimbursing the consumer, ... are those terms and conditions not printed clearly on the outside of the box so the customer will not know?

All Customers are entiled to a rebate, if all the terms and condition are met. Should you have any question in regards to a rebate inquiry, please do not hesistate to give us call 626-912-0070. Make sure you have the following information: Name submitted on the rebate form Dept Number or Date of Purchase, amount of the rebate. You can also e-mail eveleen@likomusa.com, if you have any further questions I will be more than happy to assit you.

Monitor rebates have no Futura... Likom or not
You know the more contact we have with your company, the more we realize how utterly stupid you must think we all are. Do you honestly believe that we should have to make a toll call to be put on hold while you "check your files," only to come back 20 minutes later to tell us you have no record of the rebate, which would require sending in a photocopy of the rebate packet proving that we met all the conditions. This is all an effort to delay and ultimately deny legitimate rebate requests.
What... You're sending the check out yourself?
I bet you have no clue what your bookkeeping department is doing. Regardless, I'm sure all the checks are not going out, AND that they are looking for reasons to NOT send the rebate. Your company leaders are a bunch of jerks for not sending the money. Most people do not read the complete instructions and send it out late. You bear considerable culpability for discriminating against those who cannot read tiny print lettering. I dare you to put the days in BIG BOLD TYPE, at the top of the paperwork, that say:
WARNING! THIS CARD MUST BE SENT IN WITHIN (30 days??) THE TIME SPECIFIED OR YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR REBATE!!!
There should also be a separate yellow post card with BIG BOLD red lettering stating the above as well!
I've had correspondence with one of your company executives, and they gave some half cocked, idiotic, lame excuse and some silly, illogical example, something to do with buying grapes at a grocery store? What a simpleton. You know, the longer you draw this out, the worse you look. We offered to help straighten out your bookkeeping for a very reasonable fee. I would recommend that you take us up on it.
You Rip-offs should be thankful some of your customers send in for their REBATE late because they couldn't read the tiny print orthe the time constraints are placed in obscure locations! You should consider your self lucky they send it in late, that gives you more time to collect the interest on their money! What the heck do you care if they send it to you a year later! Anyway, that may be your excuse, but I can guarantee that of those who filed reports and wrote to us to complain about you, most of them did meet all the time constraints and that is why Fry's executives are breathing down your panties. It's companies like yours that make the Rip-off Report even more important. Your company disgusts me. Well, that's the official opinion of this web site.
