Ok folks, this is not a ripoff report. But yet a cry out for help. I started working for frys almost 5 years ago. My starting wage was $8.25 per hour A pretty decent starting wage. Over minimum wage is good. Although what im about to tell you, is going to shock you. Over my almost five years with frys, I have seen and endured the most frightening and unsanitary work environments ever. And the frosting on the cake, constant harrasment from upper management. Not being able to get days off to get.screened for possible cancer in my lymphnodes. To top it off I was threatened bodily harm by my department manager. On the clock, told upper management and they laughed, like it was a joke. I currently cut meat on dangerous equipment that can take alimb off. And have been for 3 years at 11.00 per hour. They lied and promised me.mentorship and promotions to make a good living. Now I have two slipped discs in my back that they are aware of. And they still make me lift around 30 to 40 cases of meat carcus. Ranging from 50 lbs all the way to 85lbs or more everyday. Knowing that I can further injure my back they do nothing to help. they gave me a back brace, ...really. I have witnessed helth inspectors walk through our meat dept wich is a health hazard all together. And say everything looks good here!! Well I have had persistant direa and naseua for three months. And all my food, I buy from work. Im sick I think from the environment I work in. lung and stomach complications are my symtoms. Let me tell you..people I did a couple years behind bars when I was a younger .This place is just as filthy and so ill managed it makes me sick writing this. Do not and I repeat do not buy seafood , anything like fried chicken or rotissere chicken from the deli. also im getting sceptical of things I have seen inside of meat that I cut. I have seen puss like pockets in chuck roll that comes into frys quite fuently. This Is not a lie, I will swear under oath as god my witness. This is just not right, not right at all!

In regards to the original poster, $11.00 working at Fry's these days is actually a very good wage, if you're not satisfied with that wage, by all means, find a job that pays more or conduct some self-improvement to allow you to get paid more.   Also, as awful as you make it sound, there is literally nobody forcing you to work there in the slightest.   You're free to quit as you please.   I would also refrain from making unsubstantiated claims that could land you in hot water when it comes to a defamation lawsuit.   You can't just simply throw up a bunch of suppositions and attempt to degrade an employer by doing so without potential consequences. 

   You seem to be claiming that there's some vast conspiracy between Fry's, the local Health Department and other entities which are colluding to simply ruin your life.  Its hard to take anything you write seriously when you use so much hyperbole.  

In regards to the third poster:

Obama Care does not take full effect until 2014.  Give this person a chance in telling their story. What "

    You're apparently discovering the law of unintended consequences.   Businesses are preparing for the full advent of the law by doing what is necessary to shield themselves from excess costs that they simply can't just afford.   As a result of the Affordable Care Act, the new full-time at many businesses will be roughly 29 hours a week.   The new law makes it prohibitively expensive for businesses to offer more than that to anyone but managerial types and crucial other positions that cannot be as easily replaced.   As a result, you're going to have a lot of Americans needing to find 2 jobs now just to get the hours that they previously had with one...and with reduced benefits because they won't be full-timers at either job.   

      Another case of "be careful what you wish for."

Come on people

Come on people.  Just because someone is not a great speller, does not mean he is not telling the truth.  It could also be his typing.  I have a nephew who works for a Frys Market in an upscale area of Arizona and he tells me the same thing.  He has worked for them for 7 years while going to college. They pay lousy for the hard work that they do.  What makes any job less important than another.  They work holidays, weekends, scrub toilets, clean floors, and any other thing that Frys asks them to do.  Frys is currently cutting hours on all part timers and blaming Obama Care.  Can you believe this?

Obama Care does not take full effect until 2014.  Give this person a chance in telling their story. What
gives you guys the right to judge this person anyhow?  I am sure it must be someone in Management for Frys.  Everyone better open their eyes and listen to the hard working soles of this country and quit letting the Corporate Greed take over.  My nephew warns me all the time not to buy food from the deli and has told me many stories of Chickens sitting out for long periods of time while they have to help other customers.  He says it is filthy behind the deli.  Why would someone lie about this.  He will not even buy his own food from there.  So quit judging just because someone can not spell.  I have seen good spellers who are complete jerks.  Does not make someone less a person and less to believe.

You people who have put him down are the fools and you sound bigoted and sound like a bunch of idiots.  All this person was doing was complaining. I am sure you are all Harvard Graduates.

A few comments:

1. Spelling; learn it! You, sir, are part of the reason that other countries laugh at us.

2. You work at a grocery store. You make $11.00/hr. What would you expect to make at a job like that? Be grateful you even have a job.

3. If all of these health violations are true, then why aren't you going to the authorities? It seems to me like the FDA (or whoever) would have a field day in a place that's allegedly so filthy.

4. If they've mistreated you so badly, why don't you quit?

I call 'shenanigans'....
