I received a Pre-Qualification certificate in the mail From Fort Myers Mitsubishi. The Pre-Qualified notice read zero down payment financing,no cash down, no tax down,notag fees down not even a trade is necessary absolutely zero down on any pre owned car,SUV,or Van. And it was a one day sale. Along with this notice came a flyer that said Everyone to attend this sale will receive a Free $500 Shopping Spree on the WorldWide Shopping Network! NO Purchase Necessary! Plus if you purchase any vehicle during this special event you will receive an additional $500 shopping Spree to total $1,000! fine print said Redeemable only at Fort Myers Mitsubishi Hyundai Subaru.

I went in on the day of this sale which was Saturday Oct.11,2003. The salesman Danny approached us my son was with me, We asked if we were at the right place and showed him the paper work we had. He said yes you are, so we went in and he took us to a check in desk to be registered in. a young lady took care of that process. Then Danny took over again asking what we were looking for and if we were trading in the Land Rover. My reply was yes it is costing way too much to gas it up. He stated how much he Loved that automobile(the Land Rover)

I told him the only reason I wanted to trade it was because it was getting hard to pay for it and be able to enjoy riding in it due to the expense. I needed something that did'nt burn up gas so fast. He started showing us what he had on the lot, none of them really excited me and I let him know. I asked about the $500 shopping spree he advertised and he said yes you sure will get one and if you buy a car you get another $500. We kept looking and finally test drove a car it was ok but nothing like my Land Rover he said let me see what kind of a great deal i can get for you on this car, and went back to his sales people. He came back with a price for the used car and for a new model of the same car. He brought out another salesman to do the push talking and he told me all the negative reasons why my car wasn't worth keeping. I really didn't like this automobile they were trying to push down my throat. I let him talk me into going back to the financial officer and told the person back there the same thing and finally decided I did not want the car.

Then came Jody a female who was the real strong arm and she finally convinced me that I should take a Montero as this would be a car much closer to my Land Rover. I took a test drive and said not really then they came up with take it for the week-end. I did and didn't like any more by Monday. I took it back and told them thanks but no thanks. I asked for my $500 shopping spree and Danny said ok and went to the back, he came back and said let me get your car, he did and I waited then he said let put your plate back on why it was off was a puzzle but I waited and he put it back and went to the back again after a few more minutes passed he came back and said "well Linda i have good new and not so good news, Good news nothing has happened to your car while here it's just as you left it. Not so good news no Shopping Spree).

I asked why his reply was that was for Saturday only I said I was here on Saturday and you promised i would get one. He said I know I'm sorry. I said thats false advertisment he shrugged his shoulders. Bad business thats all i can say.

At least seven members of my family have bought automobiles at that same dealership no more they can be sure of that. What a Come On.
