FTC Corporation threatened to take me to court over a debt I haven't heard of before.  If they didn't hear from me within 24 hours that the case would be downloaded and executed.

It is a scam

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - (USA)

There is no such thing as downloading a case in the way that they said. Was this an email? This same old scam has been around for a long time.  Go to FTC.gov (not a corporation, but a government entity) to read about scams. These scammers people are trying to get you to pay them by using a fake name (FTC Corporation) that sounds legit. It isn't. Ignore these scammers and read up on the scams so you can recognize the pattern because they change names all the time.
