FTD Florist Candlelite Florist, Stratford, NJFTD Online Florist FTD Online Florists Do Not Deliver the Goods Stratford New Jersey

I ordered a $45 birthday arrangement for my 86 year old mother. I received a $9 discount via The Entertainment Book. Total order, including shipping, charged to my credit card is $55. The arrangement received has flowers valued at $10 (based on what I can buy in a grocery store or Trader Joe's). I contacted FTD.com, who in turn contacted Candlelite Florist in Stratford, NJ, who told FTD they delivered what they were paid. No offer to send what I paid for was made. No credit was offered.
My gut feeling is that FTD and this florist (who is nowhere near where I even live!!!) gave me a smaller arrangement because of the discount.
I also learned that FTD has their 'favorites' which means they don't necessarily use a florist in your home town for orders. How do I know this? Because the delivering florist is in my home town, and I called initially to complain to them, and she told me she was only the delivery person! The actual florist is 30 minutes and about 20 miles away!
Moral of this purchase -- I will only purchase flowers from local florists, even for long-distance deliveries. I will call a florist in that location to place the order.
